It’s a huge NFL slate on Tuesday with 12 games on the docket. New Jersey Devils center Nico Hischier headlines our picks to go Over his shot-prop total against the Vancouver Canucks.
There are a number of favorable matchups to target and players standing out as underpriced based on their recent form.
Here are our top NHL shot-prop picks for Tuesday, Nov. 1 (odds via BetMGM and FanDuel Sportsbook; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).
Top NHL Shot Prop Picks for Tuesday
NHL Shot Prop Predictions
Hischier Over 2.5 shot (-115 via BetMGM) ★★★★
This matchup jumps off the page, as the Vancouver Canucks sport the eighth-lowest Corsi For percentage at five-on-five, and the New Jersey Devils rank second. Additionally, the Devils have attempted the third-most shots per hour in the league.
Hischier enters the favorable matchup with 17 shots and 25 attempts across his past four outings, and he’s cleared this shot total in three of those games. I expect the Devils to push the play Tuesday, and Hischier’s uptick in shot volume to continue.
Nelson Over 2.5 shots (+116 via FanDuel) ★★★
With the Chicago Blackhawks allowing the fourth-most shot attempts per 60 minutes in the league, I’m surprised Brock Nelson’s paying plus-money to go over his shot total Tuesday.
The veteran center’s shot volume is more consistent than high, but he’s cleared the 2.5 total in five of his past six games while collecting 19 shots and 29 attempts.
Batherson Over 2.5 shots (-105 via BetMGM) ★★★
Ottawa Senators winger Drake Batherson has cleared this shot total in five consecutive games while piling up 21 shots and 33 attempts. Additionally, it’s been a season-long trend, as his 10.75 shots and 18.61 attempts per 60 minutes are far higher than his 7.65 and 13.02 marks from last year.
With the Tampa Bay Lightning checking out as a middling possession team to this point of the season, I’m not concerned with the matchup, either. Additionally, Batherson skates with the No. 1 power-play unit, and he’s combined with linemates Tim Stutzle and Brady Tkachuk to drive five-on-five possession with a 54.2 Corsi For percentage.
