Thursday showcases a night of headline acts who can help us turn a profit as I offer our NHL player props and anytime goal scorer picks.

I'm returning to Auston Matthews, who repaid my faith in him by scoring against the Philadelphia Flyers on Tuesday. Mark Stone and Brady Tkachuk round out my three goal-scorer props, while Connor McDavid gets the nod to notch at least two points against the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Stone is heating up for the Vegas Golden Knights. The captain scored in three straight games entering Thursday's home contest against the New York Islanders, who've allowed the ninth-most goals per game on the road since Dec. 15.

Stone netted in four of the previous six games and three of the last six at home, including two in a row. He has also been dominant recently, dictating play and creating chances, firing six shots, boasting a 95.1 expected goals percentage and a 75.6% Corsi rating against the San Jose Sharks.

I backed Matthews to score on Tuesday, and I'm going right back to him after he duly obliged by lighting the lamp in Philly. Not only is he one of the world's most pure goal-scorers, but he's also one of the streakiest. Watch out when he gets hot, and he's showing signs of doing exactly that. Matthew has three goals in his last four and two in three since returning from injury.

It tells you a lot about McDavid's prolific rate of scoring when seeing his -105 odds to notch at least two points. While an admittedly steep price, McDavid is overdue for a multi-point outing.

He's gone three straight without scoring two points. The only other time he endured a three-game patch without scoring at least two points occurred in the season's opening three tilts.

He hasn't endured a four-game streak without notching two points all season, and I can't see it happening against the Pittsburgh Penguins, against whom McDavid thrives. The Oilers captain has 27 points in 15 games against the Pens, including nine in the last four.
