The last time the Florida Panthers rolled into Edmonton was for Game 6 of last season's Stanley Cup Final, which the Oilers won 5-1 to force a decisive Game 7 back in the Sunshine State.

While the stakes aren't nearly as high, Monday's contest at Rogers Place (8:30 p.m. ET, Prime Video) offers an excellent litmus test for both Stanley Cup odds favorites. No team is hotter than the Oilers, with Kris Knoblauch's squad winning five in a row and eight of the last nine.

The Panthers have sputtered recently, losing two in a row and three of the last five on their travels. Our Panthers vs. Oilers prediction finds the best value in a Leon Draisaitl prop pick and features Zach Hyman.

I'll start by saying I like the Oilers to make it six straight wins when they play a Panthers squad that, at least recently, is struggling with inconsistency.

However, their -140 odds offer less value than the best bet I landed on, Draisaitl, to register at least three shots. Nobody has more goals than Draisaitl, who has 22, tied atop the goal-scorer chart with Hart Trophy odds favorite Kirill Kaprizov.

Draisaitl, the Rocket Richard odds favorite, has five goals in the last five games, including three in a row. While Draisaitl's a good bet to score again, I'm banking on the German forward to fire at least three shots on the Panthers' most likely starter, Sergei Bobrovsky.

My interest piques anytime Draisaitl's shot total is set at 2.5, especially amid a hot streak.

The 29-year-old has at least three shots in three straight and five of the previous seven at Rogers Place. He's also hit the Over against Florida in three of the last four and six of the previous eight regular-season games.

Plus, the Oilers have fired an average of 31.4 shots per game during their five-game win streak at Rogers Place, tied for the second-most with New Jersey during that span.

A winning $10 bet will profit $9.52.

Zach Hyman prop pick: Anytime goal ⭐⭐⭐

Best odds: +165 via Betway | Implied probability: 37.74%

Zach Hyman has scored five goals in five games since returning from an injury that kept him out of the lineup for as many contests. Only the Tampa Bay Lightning prevented him from scoring since jumping back into proceedings.

He also netted in his last regular-season game against Florida, and I'm riding the hot hand that has scored on 27.8% of his shots since Dec. 5. A winning $10 bet will yield a $16.50 profit.
