The Toronto Maple Leafs have won five of their last six home games entering Wednesday's contest at Scotiabank Arena (7:30 p.m. ET, ESPN+) against the Vegas Golden Knights.

Toronto will look to improve upon its 8-3-0 record and seventh-best points percentage on home ice (.727). The Golden Knights have played better on the road recently, winning three of the last four after losing their first four to start the campaign.

The Maple Leafs are slight favorites, but both teams are among the 10 Stanley Cup odds favorites, adding further intrigue to Wednesday's tilt.

Our Golden Knights vs. Maple Leafs prediction believes the best value in tonight's game lies in backing Bobby McMann to continue his recent ascent.

McMann has benefitted from Auston Matthews' time on the treatment table, allowing him to earn more ice time while playing on the top line with John Tavares and Mitch Marner.

He has grown into the role and become increasingly influential, helping the trio dominate proceedings.

The uptick in his ice time has been most noticeable in the last three games, when he's averaged 17:44. That's almost four minutes more than his season average of 13:58. One of Craig Berube's hallmarks as a coach is finding role players who bleed for the shirt while consistently putting in the hard yards and rewarding them accordingly.

McMann offers Berube that in spades.

McMann is excellent on the boards in the offensive zone and can put the defense on their heels with his powerful, purposeful, and direct north-south skating.

The 28-year-old had at least three shots in the last three games and fired six on Ottawa in a losing effort and eight on Washington the following night. He was most impressive against Washington, in which he was buzzing from start to finish.

I also like McMann to score at least one point, which comes with +115 odds.

He has three points in the last two games, including two goals against the Oilers on Saturday, and has been a constant threat. Against Edmonton, he had an expected goals rate of 67.08%, the team's fourth highest. His linemates finished first and second. The previous night in Washington, McMann led the team with 0.79 expected goals, over 18% of the team's total tally.

A $10 wager will profit $8.33 if he gets three shots on goal. And if McMann notches at least one point, you'll earn $11.50 on a $10 bet.

Mitch Marner prop bet: Over 1.5 points ⭐⭐⭐

Best odds: +150 via Betway | Implied probability: 40%

Before pulling the trigger on this Mitch Marner prop, I was drawn to Matthew Knies to notch at least one point. However, I found the -120 price too rich for my blood.

Cue the Marner train. Marner has been sensational since Matthews was sidelined. He scored two points in five of the last six games, with the only exception against the Senators when his team was shut out. Marner has 10 points in the last six games.

Marner to get a power-play point offers excellent value (+190), but the Golden Knights are one of the most disciplined road teams, which should reduce the chances he gets.

A winning $10 bet will profit $15.
