The early NFL Wild Card Weekend odds have been released, and the home teams are favored to win four of the six matchups across our NFL betting sites for the opening round of the NFL playoffs.

The Denver Broncos cashed their NFL playoff odds with a dominant win over the rival Kansas City Chiefs, who enter the wild-card round as the Super Bowl odds favorites, and with a first-round bye as the No. 1 seed in the AFC.

The Detroit Lions claimed the NFC's No. 1 seed and a first-round bye with their Sunday Night Football win over the Minnesota Vikings. The Vikings hit the road to face the NFC West-winning Los Angeles Rams this weekend.

AFC playoff seeding, wild-card matchups

SeedTeam
1Kansas City Chiefs (15-2)
2Buffalo Bills (13-4)
3Baltimore Ravens (12-5)
4Houston Texans (10-7)
5Los Angeles Chargers (11-6)
6Pittsburgh Steelers (10-7)
7Denver Broncos (10-7)

We've had a sense of the AFC playoff picture for weeks, and the Broncos turned it into reality on Sunday with a 38-0 win over the Chiefs' backups to wrap the regular season.

That locked Denver into the final wild-card spot and No. 7 seed in the playoffs ahead of a trip to face the No. 2 seed Buffalo Bills and NFL MVP odds favorite Josh Allen, while reigning MVP winner Lamar Jackson and his Baltimore Ravens will host the rival Pittsburgh Steelers just weeks removed from the Ravens' 34-17 win in Week 16.

The Los Angeles Chargers also took care of business on Sunday to clinch the No. 5 seed and set up a matchup with the fourth-seeded Houston Texans, who are the AFC's only home underdog in the wild-card round.

NFC playoff seeding, wild-card matchups

SeedTeam
1Detroit Lions (15-2)
2Philadelphia Eagles (14-3)
3Tampa Bay Buccaneers (10-7)
4Los Angeles Rams (10-7)
5Minnesota Vikings (14-3)
6Washington Commanders (12-5)
7Green Bay Packers (11-6)

After the Lions' 31-9 win over the Vikings on Sunday Night Football, the NFC playoff picture is now fully locked into place.

The Philadelphia Eagles had already claimed the No. 2 seed entering Week 18 and will host a dangerous No. 7 seed Green Bay Packers in a rematch of their Week 1 clash in Brazil. We'll be treated to another Week 1 rematch when the No. 3 seed Tampa Bay Buccaneers host the No. 6 seed Washington Commanders.

Before Sunday's loss, the Vikings hadn't been downed since a 30-20 defeat against the Rams at SoFi Stadium. Those two meet again at the same venue, though Minnesota is favored to exact revenge this time around after winning nine of 10 games since.
