The Week 18 NFL odds are out, and this slate will be the final one before the NFL playoffs begin next week. Our NFL betting sites have two games on Saturday to square away the AFC North and 14 games on Sunday to wrap up the regular season.
They'll have their hands full reacting to injuries and betting patterns. Some significant injuries from two weeks ago could still impact these games.
But also, more than any other week of the season, playoff implications will impact lines. Will teams rest starters? What are their motivations? Who has what left to play for?
Here are some of the major storylines that will warrant watching throughout the final week of the season.
AFC playoff scenarios Week 18
The Kansas City Chiefs (15-1) are locked into the AFC's No. 1 seed with a first-round bye, and the Buffalo Bills (13-3) have secured the second seed. The Houston Texans (9-7) are locked into the No. 4 seed. These squads are prime candidates to rest or severely limit key players.
The AFC North division title remains up for grabs. The Baltimore Ravens (11-5) and Cleveland Browns (3-13) open the week's action on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. ET, so the Pittsburgh Steelers (10-6) will know if they can win the division before their 8 p.m. ET kickoff against the Cincinnati Bengals (8-8).
Even if the Ravens win and secure the division (and the No. 3 seed), Pittsburgh will still control its destiny as to whether it finishes as the fifth or sixth seed. The Los Angeles Chargers clinched their playoff berth last week, but if the Steelers falter, they could move into the fifth seed with a victory.
One playoff spot remains unclaimed. The Denver Broncos (9-7) hold a one-game lead over the Miami Dolphins (8-8) and Bengals.
Denver will face a Kansas City squad playing for nothing, while Miami wraps up against the long-eliminated New York Jets (4-12). Cincinnati will need to beat Pittsburgh on Saturday and have Denver and Miami lose on Sunday to squeak in as a Super Bowl odds long shot.
NFC playoff scenarios Week 18
The Detroit Lions (13-2) hold the tiebreak over the Minnesota Vikings (14-2) for the No. 1 seed and NFC North division title. The two square off in the deciding game to close Week 18 with the Lions favored by the Sunday Night Football odds to secure a first-round bye, while the loser would fall to the No. 5 seed.
The Philadelphia Eagles (13-3) are locked into the No. 2 seed as the NFC East winners. The Los Angeles Rams (10-6) have won the West but can finish as the No. 3 or No. 4 seed. They'll finish third if they win Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks (9-7), or if both they and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (9-7) lose in Week 18.
Speaking of which, the Bucs can only get in as the winners of the NFC South. That can happen if they beat the visiting New Orleans Saints (5-11) on Sunday, or if the Atlanta Falcons (8-8) lose to the visiting Carolina Panthers (4-12). Conversely, Atlanta gets in with a win and a Tampa Bay loss, which would propel the Falcons to the top of the division.
The wild-card teams will be either the Lions or Vikings in the No. 5 seed with the Washington Commanders (11-5) and Green Bay Packers (11-5) taking the final two spots.

NFL Week 18 odds and lines
There's an advantage to betting the early NFL odds when attempting to beat the closing line. The closer you wait until kickoff to make your NFL picks, the harder it becomes to identify edges and secure the best price on most sides or totals.
