Tagovailoa has thrown one touchdown pass in each of his first two games. But he's returning to the field against a defense that allows 1.4 passing touchdowns per game. The Cardinals didn’t allow any touchdown passes to the Los Angeles Chargers last week, but they gave up four to Jordan Love and the Green Bay Packers the week before.

With so much unknown about Tagovailoa, there’s a lot of guessing regarding these props. We’ve seen what he can do when healthy, and the Cardinals are a fantastic matchup for an offense that’s dying to show what they’re capable of.

In Week 1, Tagovailoa threw for 338 yards against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jaguars have the second-worst pass defense in the league, but Tagovailoa still surpassed their average yards against by over 60 yards.

The only reason that Tua would miss this Over is because of how bad the Cardinals’ run defense is. As a unit, they’re allowing 139.6 rushing yards per game. But while the Dolphins are likely to run the ball a lot to protect Tua, it won’t take many attempts to his this Over, as the Cardinals are allowing 11.1 yards per completion.

The total is set at 246.5 at DraftKings, but the price is -115. Since bet365 asking -110 for just two more yards, that’s the place to play. The sportsbook offers a better price than Caesars and FanDuel for 251.5 and 253.5, respectively.

The Cardinals rank fifth worst in the NFL in yards per completion. This week, they face one of the most explosive units when healthy. In Week 1, Tua threw an 80-yard touchdown to Tyreek Hill.

Including the postseason, Tagovailoa tossed a pass of at least 40 yards in nine of his 18 games last season. While 37.5 yards is a lot, the Cardinals are vulnerable to big plays and the Dolphins can turn even the smallest gains into massive ones with Tua under center.
