The first song of the Super Bowl halftime show sets the tone for the rest of the performance, and Kendrick Lamar has plenty of bangers to choose from. That's certainly represented in the Super Bowl halftime show first song odds, with no clear favorite standing out.

In what's annually the biggest sports-pop culture crossover event of the year, the Super Bowl halftime show features one of music's biggest artists of 2025: Kendrick Lamar.

King Kendrick takes center stage on Feb. 9, marking the second time in four years that a West Coast hip-hop act has performed during the Super Bowl halftime show after Dr. Dre headlined it in 2022.

2025 Super Bowl halftime show first song favorites

Euphoria (+250)

"Euphoria" serves as the favorite to be the first song Lamar performs during the Super Bowl halftime show, and it would certainly be an interesting choice.

The surprise release from April 2024 serves as one of the earlier diss tracks Lamar made about Drake last year. It followed three previous diss tracks made by Drake, and it would certainly start the halftime show with a bang.

Humble (+310)

"Humble" is by far the most viewed video on Lamar's YouTube page with one-billion views. The second-most-viewed video is "All the Stars," all the way down at 479 million.

It would make a lot of sense for Lamar to start with a song like this, but as we saw with Usher's performance last year, the most obvious answer isn't always the right one.

Not Like Us (+310)

"Not Like Us" is among Lamar's more recent releases, and it was one of the biggest songs of 2024. It's another diss track aimed at Drake, though it achieved much more commercial success than "Euphoria" did.

Along with "Humble," the two songs priced at +310 are fittingly among the favorites, as they seem to be the most likely choices.

2025 Super Bowl halftime show first song contenders

King Kunta (+430)

Along with our highlighted long shot, "King Kunta" was one of the most popular tracks off Lamar's third studio album, To Pimp a Butterfly.

It would kick off the Super Bowl halftime show in a very different way compared to the three previous entries, as it's a much more funk-based song vs. pure hip hop. I'm not sure it's a likely choice, but I'd personally enjoy hearing it to open the halftime show.

DNA (+500)

"DNA" represents another entry from Lamar's fourth studio album, Damn. He released it during April 2017, and it immediately blew up thanks to numerous massive tracks, including this one.

It does seem like a less likely opener vs. those four we've discussed thus far, as it would fit better if transitioned into from another song.

However, he has started performances with "DNA" before:

A.D.H.D (+500)

As someone who's been listening to Lamar since his debut album, I hope we get at least a couple of songs from Section.80. "A.D.H.D" represents the biggest favorite among them to open the halftime show.

This song is less known compared to those other ones listed, though, and it's not especially likely he kicks off arguably the biggest performance of his career with a track that came out when Washington Commanders rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels was 11 years old.

Alright (+1300)

I'm featuring "Alright" as the long shot because it's surprising to see it priced at these +1300 odds when I assumed it'd be trading among the contenders.

Based on last year's performance, this would set the stage in a similar way that Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg did when they opened the 2021 show with "The Next Episode."

2025 Super Bowl halftime show first song betting pick

I'd say the best strategy to use when making Super Bowl halftime show prop bets is to stay diligent online and look for leaks. Rarely can you actually predict what will happen, but there's still some value to be found if you act quickly on information that makes its way to social media.

I'd rather be right and get the correct song at, say, +150, than jump at +500 odds and just donate that money to our best Super Bowl betting sites.

Right now, if I had to bet on a song, I'd go with "Not Like Us." It was one of the biggest songs of the year and is very recognizable. The +310 odds are decent value, too, as you'd assume it'd be the overwhelming favorite one month out from the Super Bowl. A winning $10 would return a $31 profit.
