The Green Bay Packers (10-4) can lock up a playoff spot Monday when they host the banged-up New Orleans Saints (5-9) at Lambeau Field (8:15 p.m., ESPN). The Packers enter sitting seventh in the Super Bowl odds.

With the Saints potentially missing quarterback Derek Carr and running back Alvin Kamara due to injuries, oddsmakers made Green Bay an early 13.5-point favorite in the Monday Night Football odds. It's the final game of the week we're looking at in our NFL Week 16 predictions.

There’s no secret that a lot of factors in this game are working against New Orleans.

Not only are the Saints playing outdoors in December at night in the frigid conditions of Lambeau Field, but they'll also potentially be without top running back Alvin Kamara (groin) and starting quarterback Derek Carr (concussion).

But all of those disadvantages are factored into the line, and I think a bit too heavily. New Orleans is playing inspired football under interim head coach Darren Rizzi, going 3-2 since the coaching change and nearly upsetting the Washington Commanders last week. Meanwhile, Green Bay is essentially locked into a wild-card spot and could already be looking ahead to a Week 17 clash with the division-rival Minnesota Vikings.

I’ll grab the +13.5 line now with a Saints team that hasn’t allowed more than 21 points in its last five games. Then I'll cross my fingers that Carr or Kamara (or both) are able to suit up for Monday night.

Green Bay hasn't been a two-touchdown favorite since 2012, while the Saints haven’t been an underdog with the same line since 1998. Those trends will continue if news breaks that either Carr or Kamara will be back, so be sure to monitor injury updates throughout the week.
