I predicted the Ravens to cover as part of my NFL Week 17 picks against the spread, and it's hard to bet against this team with the way it's been playing as of late.

After a midseason swoon, Baltimore has won two straight since its bye week while scoring at least 34 points and allowing 17 or fewer in each. Lamar Jackson has played like the deserving MVP favorite - you heard me - and the defense has sorted out its issues on the back end while generating pressure up front, too.

There's a reason why the Ravens are among the Super Bowl odds favorites, while the Texans are reeling after an injury-plagued Week 16 loss in Kansas City. If you're betting on a side as part of your Christmas Day NFL parlay predictions, make it Baltimore.

Lamar Jackson Over 1.5 passing TDs (-135) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Jackson insists that he isn't concerned with the MVP race after winning the award last year. But he's playing with a vengeance, anyway, as he continues his assault on NFL defenses amid the best statistical season of his career.

Jackson threw for three touchdowns last week against the Pittsburgh Steelers - a borderline top-five unit by EPA - even with just 15 completions on the day. He's now thrown multiple TDs in four straight games and eight of his last nine, tossing at least three scores in five of those nine games.

I'm surprised our best NFL prop betting sites are offering such a manageable price on Jackson to clear this paltry total once again, even against another top-flight defense. The reigning MVP has been gift-wrapping touchdowns against just about everyone this year, and bet365 is offering the best price on him to do it again on Christmas Day.

C.J. Stroud to throw an interception (-115) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Stroud is still one of the NFL's brightest young stars, but he hasn't quite looked like it this year with 19 touchdowns and 11 interceptions through 15 starts.

He's struggled to find consistency with so many injuries to a once-loaded receiving corps, and Nico Collins is the only big name left after Tank Dell (knee) went down for the season last week and Stefon Diggs (knee) was lost in late October. Consequently, Stroud threw two picks last week and has tossed at least one in four of his last six starts.

The Ravens' defense has been on a tear recently, and they've forced at least one miscue in two straight games and three of their last five. I'd be surprised if Stroud keeps his powder dry for 60 minutes against this surging unit.
