The Los Angeles Rams will look to continue their playoff push against the San Francisco 49ers when they visit their NFC West rivals on Thursday Night Football.

I make my best Rams vs. 49ers early picks based on the Thursday Night Football odds as the two teams prepare to face off for the second time this season. In Week 3, the Rams erased a 14-point deficit to win 27-24.

Kickoff from Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif., is set for 8:15 p.m. ET (Prime Video). Most of our best sports betting apps have the 49ers lined as 2-point favorites.

After the Rams' recent performance, it’s tempting to back them to beat their division rivals on the road, especially since they have already beaten them once this season.

However, the 49ers dominated the first meeting between these two teams until the final six minutes. And the 49ers’ pass defense will be the difference in this game.

The 49ers are allowing just 182.6 passing yards per game this season, which ranks third in the NFL. They’re pretty good against the run, too, allowing just 115.9 per game.

This team is allowing just 273.1 yards and 20.1 points per game at home. Meanwhile, the Rams are scoring just 20.5 points in road games, 4.5 fewer than their home-game average.

Offensively, the 49ers suffered another setback when running back Isaac Guerendo was injured late in their win over the Chicago Bears. Early signs point to him playing this week, as he likely would have reentered Sunday’s game had it not been such a blowout.

With a solid rushing attack, and a passing game that finally looked like itself in Week 14, look for the 49ers to win their third home game in four tries.

While the Rams are slight favorites, DraftKings has the price for them to win at just +105.

Because of how good the Rams just looked against the Bills, it wouldn’t be surprising to see the Rams get a lot of support and end up as one of the most bet underdogs of the week. I’d get in as soon as possible if you're backing the Rams.

This is a coin flip for bettors, with each side taking 50% of wagers. The 49ers looked dominant against the Bears, but it’s unlikely that performance carries much weight with the public.

Don’t be surprised if this spread moves to -1 or even a pick 'em. If it moves in the other direction and gets to -3, I’d be shocked.

The Rams just scored 44 points against the Bills, and the public is reacting strongly to that performance, with 61% of bettors backing the Over. I wouldn’t be surprised to see that support grow since these two teams combined for 51 points in their first meeting.

The 49ers allow 23.7 points per game, while the Rams allow 25.5. With all of this in mind, there’s nothing to stop the public from supporting this Over and pushing it closer to 50 before kickoff.
