Last Updated: November 27, 2022 5:12 AM EST • 2 min 49 sec read.
The Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Rams opened the year with Super Bowl aspirations, and while the Chiefs have lived up to the hype, the Rams are slogging through a nightmare season. Read on for our Rams-Chiefs NFL picks.
The Los Angeles Rams and Kansas City Chiefs are winners of two of the last three Super Bowls. However, only one of those franchises appears to be destined for the postseason mix this season.
The Chiefs (8-2) have won four straight games and currently own the best record in the AFC. The defending champion Rams (3-7) have lost four straight contests and reside in last place in the NFC West.
The Rams are also ravaged by injury, which has led to a sky-high spread in favor of the Chiefs. Can K.C. cover the huge number?
Here are our Week 12 picks for the Rams-Chiefs game (odds via PointsBet, DraftKings Sportsbook, and FanDuel Sportsbook; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Rams vs. Chiefs Picks
Rams vs. Chiefs ATS Pick
Chiefs -15 (-110) ★★★★
Can Rams quarterback Bryce Perkins keep pace with the No. 1 offense and highest-scoring team in the NFL? In a word: no. Perkins is currently slated to start for the Rams with Stafford out and backup QB John Wolford also nursing a neck injury. Perkins came on for Stafford last week and, in the first semi-meaningful appearance of his pro career, he went 5-for-10 for 64 yards and took three sacks.
It's a rare break for a Chiefs team that entered the year with the hardest strength of schedule, per . K.C. is operating at its peak and should have no trouble outclassing an opponent that has averaged just 16 points per game across its last four contests.
The Rams are 0-5-1 ATS in their last six head-to-head meetings with the Chiefs.
Those hoping to bet the Chiefs should head to PointsBet, as most books have posted a spread of -15.5.
Rams vs. Chiefs O/U Pick
Under 42.5 (-108) ★★
The Chiefs lead the league in scoring, averaging 30 points per game. The Rams are on the other end of that spectrum, ranking 29th with 16.8 points per game.
Lacking so many offensive stars, the Rams should continue to struggle to put up points, particularly against a Chiefs defense that has limited its opponents to an average of 21 points over the last four games.
We expect the Chiefs to supply the majority of the points in this matchup, but they're still running up against a top-10 defense and superstars Aaron Donald and Jalen Ramsey. While the Chiefs should win handedly, a one-sided affair should keep the total below this number.
Rams vs. Chiefs Prop Pick
Pacheco Over 62.5 rushing yards (-115) ★★
The Chiefs may have found something with rookie running back Isiah Pacheco.
With Clyde Edwards-Helaire injured, Pacheco registered the first 100-yard rushing performance of his career last week against the L.A. Chargers. The seventh-round pick should be the lead back going forward, particularly with Edwards-Helaire now on injured reserve.
Should the Chiefs race out to an early lead on Sunday, the game script should call for Pacheco and Co. to salt away the game and take some pressure off the arm of QB Patrick Mahomes. The Rams own a strong run defense, but they've allowed the likes of Jeff Wilson, Tony Pollard, Ezekiel Elliott, Christian McCaffrey, and James Conner to each surpass this modest total this season.
