The Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Rams opened the year with Super Bowl aspirations, and while the Chiefs have lived up to the hype, the Rams are slogging through a nightmare season. Read on for our Rams-Chiefs NFL picks.

The Los Angeles Rams and Kansas City Chiefs are winners of two of the last three Super Bowls. However, only one of those franchises appears to be destined for the postseason mix this season.

The Chiefs (8-2) have won four straight games and currently own the best record in the AFC. The defending champion Rams (3-7) have lost four straight contests and reside in last place in the NFC West.

The Rams are also ravaged by injury, which has led to a sky-high spread in favor of the Chiefs. Can K.C. cover the huge number?

The Chiefs were met with a similar spread, -14, in Week 9 against the Tennessee Titans and failed to cover in a 20-17 victory.

The Rams have failed to cover the spread as a betting underdog in four opportunities this season.

Perkins is currently slated to start for the Rams with Stafford out and backup QB John Wolford also nursing a neck injury. Perkins came on for Stafford last week and, in the first semi-meaningful appearance of his pro career, he went 5-for-10 for 64 yards and took three sacks.

It's a rare break for a Chiefs team that entered the year with the hardest strength of schedule, per . K.C. is operating at its peak and should have no trouble outclassing an opponent that has averaged just 16 points per game across its last four contests.

The Rams are 0-5-1 ATS in their last six head-to-head meetings with the Chiefs.

We expect the Chiefs to supply the majority of the points in this matchup, but they're still running up against a top-10 defense and superstars Aaron Donald and Jalen Ramsey. While the Chiefs should win handedly, a one-sided affair should keep the total below this number.

The Rams own a strong run defense, but they've allowed the likes of Jeff Wilson, Tony Pollard, Ezekiel Elliott, Christian McCaffrey, and James Conner to each surpass this modest total this season.
