The Green Bay Packers meet the Seattle Seahawks in a possible NFC playoff preview on Sunday Night Football in Week 15.

  • If the playoffs started this week, this Packers vs. Seahawks matchup would be an NFC Wild Card Round game
  • Green Bay would be eliminated from contention to win the NFC North with a loss this week
  • Seattle has won four straight games and leads the NFC West by one game

The Packers are in third place in the NFC North, but they're road favorites in this matchup. That's partly because at 9-4 they have a better than the 8-5 Seahawks.

However, Seattle is not being given the credit it deserves after winning four straight games. The Seahawks' defense has been dominant during that stretch, allowing 15.5 points per game.

Entering this season, Seattle had covered four of its last six games (dating back to 2022) as home underdogs, so I expect positive regression after the Seahawks are off to a 1-3 ATS start as home ‘dogs this year.

Moneyline

  • Packers best odds: -136 via FanDuel | Implied probability: 57.63%
  • Seahawks best odds: +125 via bet365 | Implied probability: 44.44%

There is a big 14-cent gap between Green Bay’s -136 moneyline odds at FanDuel and the -150 offered at bet365.

Green Bay benefits from extra rest, having played its last two games on Thursday. This line should also move slightly in the Packers’ favor, given that they have won seven consecutive games outright as favorites, while Seattle is under .500 at home (3-4).

Spread

  • Packers best odds: -2.5 (-110) via BetMGM
  • Seahawks best odds: +3 (-120) via DraftKings

Seahawks backers would be wise to get their wagers in early at DraftKings, as it is the only top sports betting site sitting on the key number of three.

The -120 odds to back the home underdogs suggest that the number may not last long, especially if DraftKings remains the only sportsbook not offering a line of +2.5. With most of our best sports betting apps opening at -2.5, it would take a slew of money on the favorites to ever get to -3.5.

Over/Under

  • Over best odds: 46.5 (-115) via FanDuel
  • Under best odds: 47 (-110) via BetMGM

FanDuel is on its own as the only site offering a total as low as 46.5, as our other best sportsbooks are in unison at 47 with standard -110 juice on either side.

Both of these teams are 7-6 to the Over. But the fact that Green Bay has averaged 33 points per game over the last three games should cause more money to be wagered on the Over. 

Seattle’s defense has played well during the winning streak, but doubters would say three of those four games were against division rivals, and that it allowed 21 points to the hapless New York Jets in that span.
