Fans will be treated to a rematch of the Big Game showdown from two years ago when the Chiefs and Eagles meet once again in the Super Bowl on Feb. 9. But before the action kicks off, Jon Batiste will grace viewers with his rendition of the national anthem.
We already broke down all the Super Bowl national anthem odds found at our best Ontario sports betting sites, but now we're diving into those further to provide some actionable betting advice.
Our national anthem Super Bowl prop bets explore just how long Batiste will perform for, as well as whether a player or coach will cry during "The Star-Spangled Banner."

National anthem predictions
National anthem length: Under 120.5 seconds ⭐⭐⭐
Best odds: +100 via FanDuel | Implied probability: 50%
It's interesting that most of the online rumblings suggest that Batiste is going Over this number of two minutes on the dot, because from what I can tell, it's possible he doesn't even come close.
One of Batiste's most famous prior national anthem performances was at the 2017 NBA All-Star Game. From the opening of his piano solo (which counts, as FanDuel states the anthem begins on the first note, either instrumental or via his voice) until the end of "brave," the performance lasted just around 1:55. And that was with a ton of piano playing during the anthem, too.
Now, that was eight years ago and artists change, but Batiste has always had a quicker, more rhythmic style to his singing. We saw as much when he performed at 2024 Oscars.
Betting on the national anthem is equal parts exhilarating and terrible, as you're sweating literal seconds ticking away before the game even begins. However, it really does feel like we have a significant edge on this number unless Batiste takes us on a truly mythical instrumental ride.
Will a player or coach cry: No ⭐⭐
Best odds: +430 via FanDuel | Implied probability: 18.87%
When I bet on Super Bowl novelty props, I like to channel my inner Michael Keaton from "Batman." You wanna get nuts? Come on, let's get nuts.
FanDuel states Yes will hit if "a player or coach is shown on broadcast with a tear on their cheek during the duration of the national anthem." So if one of the potential criers (Nick Sirianni and Chris Jones are previous offenders) is able to keep it contained to just having teary eyes, we can still cash this bet.
The main reason I'm riding with No, though, is because I think both teams will be too locked in to get overly emotional during the anthem.
For the Kansas City Chiefs, there's an element of this being business as usual, as they go for the first Super Bowl three-peat in history.
As for the Philadelphia Eagles, they certainly feature more personnel who can kill this bet (I'm looking at you, Saquon Barkley), but with revenge on their mind for the loss two years ago, I'm not sure I see them showing any emotion before the game.
In the end, I can't say no to these odds and the fact that they carry an implied probability of just 18.87%. If you asked me what I thought "fair odds" for this prop were before FanDuel released them, I would have suggested a price around +200 would seem reasonable. And you're telling me we're getting +430? Yes, please.
