Two of the hottest teams in the NFL, the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions, will compete for the last spot in the NFC playoffs on Sunday Night Football. Read on for our top Lions vs. Packers NFL pick based on the top odds.
Week 18 is simple for the Packers. If they win, they’re in the playoffs. If they lose, they’re out. They’ve won four games in a row, including a 41-17 beat down of the NFC North champion Minnesota Vikings.
For the Lions, they'll know whether they have a chance at the postseason or not right before kickoff. If the Seattle Seahawks win, then the Lions can't make the playoffs. But if the Seahawks lose, then the Lions face the same scenario as the Packers: win and in.

Lions vs. Packers Odds Analysis
A total that opened at 47 has ballooned to 49.5 though the game will be played at night at Lambeau Field in frigid temperatures. More than 80% of bettors on have backed the Over.
The spread opened at -3.5 for the Packers. After the schedule was finalized and the Lions potentially playing for nothing by kickoff, the line moved to Packers -5. The Pack are drawing 79% of the cash and 66% of the tickets.
Lions vs. Packers Pick
Amon-Ra St. Brown Over 69.5 receiving yards ⭐⭐⭐⭐
A lot of bettors are taking a wait-and-see approach to this game, which makes sense since the Lions could be eliminated from the playoffs before kickoff. While head coach Dan Campbell and the Lions will still play hard even if they're just spoilers for the Packers, Detroit against the spread is not the best bet.
Instead, Lions wideout Amon-Ra St. Brown going for 70 or more receiving yards is the correct play. When these two teams met in Week 9, Detroit quarterback Jared Goff threw for just 137 yards. Since then, he's gone for over 230 passing yards in eight of his last nine games. St. Brown is his No. 1 consistent target.
St. Brown went for 60 yards or more in eight consecutive matchups, and in six of those contests, he went for 75 or more. He's been targeted at least five times in all but one game this season, and in that contest, he was taken out early because of an injury.
The Packers rank an NFL fourth passing yards allowed per game, and what they did to Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson last week was impressive. But the Lions have more weapons than the Vikes, which will prevent the Pack from focusing all their attention on St. Brown in this one.
