The market seems to be undervaluing Lamar's rushing ability. He cashed as a plus-money touchdown scorer in Week 12 against the Los Angeles Chargers. Now, he’s got the chance to do it again when Baltimore hosts the Philadelphia Eagles.

Philadelphia’s defense has been superb against opposing quarterbacks this season. The Eagles have only allowed three rushing touchdowns to signal callers (two to Trevor Lawrence and one to Baker Mayfield). The Eagles contained Jayden Daniels, Daniel Jones, and Deshaun Watson — perhaps the three most mobile quarterbacks on their schedule so far — on the ground and kept them out of the end zone.

It goes without saying Jackson is undeniably better than any dual-threat Philadelphia has faced to date. He only has three rushing touchdowns on the year, but his play-extending ability makes him a threat week in and week out. Jackson’s anytime touchdown odds are up to +220 at Caesars, which means a $10 wager would return $22 if he scores in consecutive showdowns.

Lamar Jackson Over 1.5 passing touchdowns (-115) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Philadelphia has one of the best pass defenses in the league. The Eagles’ much-improved secondary has allowed just 11 passing touchdowns this season, the fifth-best tally in the league.

Philadelphia has held six of 11 opposing quarterbacks to one passing touchdown or fewer this season, including Joe Burrow, Derek Carr, Daniels, and Lawrence.

Why are Jackson’s odds of throwing for multiple touchdowns juiced if this is the case? He’s had seven multi-touchdown games this season, including five of the last six. The Ravens’ superstar signal-caller is playing at an MVP level, with most of his production coming through the air.

BetMGM has the joint-best odds on the market for Jackson to throw Over 1.5 touchdowns at -115. He’s got an implied probability of 53.49% to do something he’s done in 58.33% of games this season.

As we alluded to previously, Jackson is undeniably the best dual-threat quarterback that Philadelphia has played this season. He’s gone Over 43.5 rushing yards in 75% of starts this year, but we’re fading him in this spot. 

The two-time NFL MVP has failed to reach this mark in three of his last four games. His rushing numbers are down as a whole over the last month, too, seeing as he’s not rushed for 50+ since Oct. 21. The Eagles, meanwhile, have contained mobile quarterbacks all year. Daniel Jones is the only signal-caller to rush for at least 20 yards on Vic Fangio’s defense through 11 games.

All signs point toward Jackson going Under. We’re giving this play three-star confidence because he’s a threat to go Over with one long scamper whenever he takes the field. Nevertheless, at the standard juice price offered by bet365, it’s a value we cannot pass up.
