First Touchdown Scorer Predictions for Monday Night Football Week 12
Last Updated: November 25, 2024 11:22 AM EST • 2 min 41 sec read.
The Baltimore Ravens are closing out Week 12 hoping to rebound from a tough loss in Pittsburgh last week and regain control of the AFC North.
SoFi Stadium in Inglewood plays host to a second prime-time game in as many days as the Ravens take on the Los Angeles Chargers at 8:15 pm E.T. (ESPN). We dove into the "Harbaugh Bowl" with our Ravens vs. Chargers prediction.
My first touchdown scorer predictions for Monday Night Football take a chance on a couple of wide receivers at long odds with the potential to find the end zone first in the game. In fact, we also backed one of them with our Ravens vs. Chargers MNF prop bets.
The Ravens have scored the second-most touchdowns (41) this season, and Baltimore has scored the first touchdown in nine of its 11 contests so far. That's why we're expecting a big game from their NFL MVP odds contending quarterback with our Lamar Jackson picks.
Meanwhile, Los Angeles has found the end zone only 23 times this year. The Chargers may not score often, but they score early, crossing the goal line first in seven of their 10 games.
This matchup closes out our NFL Week 12 predictions.

Ravens first touchdown scorer prediction: Nelson Agholor, WR ⭐⭐⭐
Best odds: | Implied probability: 1.96%
Agholor has caught two touchdown passes this season. Both have come over the last four weeks. One of them counted as the first touchdown of the game while the other was the first six-point play for his team.
Baltimore running back Derrick Henry is the heavy favorite (+390) to find the end zone first in this contest, and we backed him to score his team's first TD with our Derrick Henry picks.
However, the Chargers' defense has allowed only one rushing touchdown to a running back all season. The stingy defense has also allowed just one touchdown reception to the running back position as well.
Fellow Ravens wideout Zay Flowers (+1100) was a consideration here as he leads the team with four touchdown catches. The only issue is that Flowers hasn’t scored first in the game, or for his team since Week 2.
Therefore, we went with Agholor, and this pick will return a handsome $500 profit on a $10 wager.
Chargers first touchdown scorer prediction: Quentin Johnston, WR ⭐⭐⭐
Best odds: | Implied probability: 5.56%
Johnston leads all Los Angeles pass-catchers with six touchdown receptions this season. He’s found the end zone in five of eight games this year including each of his last three.
The young wideout has been the first player to cross the goal line in two games this year, leading the team in that category.
Baltimore is tied for second in the league, allowing an average of two touchdowns per game this season. The Ravens' defense has allowed 12 touchdowns to opposing wide receivers in their last seven games. That's also why we expect a big game from the Chargers quarterback with our Justin Herbert picks.
Tossing $10 down on this will give you back $170 in profit.
