The Atlanta Falcons (6-7) and Las Vegas Raiders (2-11) both aim to end lengthy losing streaks tonight when they meet at 8:30 p.m. ET at Allegiant Stadium in the nightcap of a Monday Night Football doubleheader to wrap NFL Week 15.

The Falcons have lost four straight for the first time in two years, but they are favored by nearly a touchdown by the Monday Night Football odds against a Raiders team riding a nine-game losing streak into tonight's matchup.

Along with our Falcons vs. Raiders parlay picks, our Falcons vs. Raiders prediction finds value in the home underdog behind a fresh face under center.

Falcons vs. Raiders odds movement for Monday Night Football

When we made our Falcons vs. Raiders early picks for this Monday Night Football matchup, the Raiders were catching 4.5 points as home underdogs and were dealing at an even shorter price later in the week when we gave our full prediction.

We've since seen that number balloon ahead of kickoff tonight with the Falcons favored between 5.5 and 6.5 points across our best sports betting apps. That coincides with the news that QB Desmond Ridder is expected to start tonight for Las Vegas in place of injured starter Aidan O'Connell (knee).

As we wrote in our prediction earlier this week, we aren't particularly concerned with the QB change and actually think it could benefit the Raiders to switch gears on short notice - forcing the Falcons to prepare for their former starting quarterback.

Atlanta’s compromised preparation

Many took O’Connell’s absence from practice on Friday to mean that the Raiders quarterback will miss this week’s game due to a knee injury. If O’Connell cannot go, former Falcons quarterback Desmond Ridder will be under center.

O’Connell and Ridder are two vastly different quarterbacks with unlike skill sets. The fact that Las Vegas was even holding out hope that O’Connell could play changed Atlanta’s preparation.

If Ridder is under center, his mobility will be vital against a Falcons defense with nine sacks in the last two weeks, which is tied for the most in the NFL.

Can’t count on Cousins

Kirk Cousins is amid the worst stretch of his career. He has a 0-8 TD-INT ratio over the last four games and is the first quarterback with that poor of a touchdown-to-interception ratio in a four-game stretch since 2005.

Cousins now ranks 20th in Total QBR (56), 31st in TD-INT ratio (17-15), and has the most turnovers in the league (17). And since Week 10, Cousins has the fourth-worst passer rating of 38 qualified quarterbacks while ranking 17th in yards per attempt in that span.

Back Antonio Pierce at night

In his short stint as Raiders head coach, Antonio Pierce has coached two night games. His team won both while covering the spread by an average of 22 points per game.

Meanwhile, Cousins is 4-10 SU and ATS in his MNF career, which has us overlooking that Las Vegas has not topped 20 points in four straight games.

Caesars is one of the only of our best NFL betting sites where one can back the underdogs at +4 at the standard -110 juice, as several other competitors are a half-point lower at +3.5.

Kirk Cousins Under 30.5 passing attempts ⭐⭐⭐

The Raiders are a dream matchup for quarterbacks, allowing the most passing touchdowns, the second-most yards per game, and ranking in the bottom four in passer rating allowed over the last six weeks.

However, given Cousins’ struggles, I expect Atlanta to keep him out of harm’s way, which means relying on the running game more. That's why we're targeting his interceptions prop as part of our best Falcons vs. Raiders MNF player props.

The Falcons are the only team with a pair of running backs (Bijan Robinson and Tyler Allgeier) with 70-plus rushing yards over expected on designed runs this season, per ESPN Research. The Raiders have allowed the second-most such yards (+213) this season.

Cousins has attempted 30 or fewer passes three times in the last six weeks. His average of 38 passing attempts in the previous two games should decrease, with the Falcons not projected to be trailing as much as they have recently.
