One team will end a long losing streak on Monday Night Football when the Las Vegas Raiders host the Atlanta Falcons.

Raiders quarterback Aidan O’Connell was carted off the field in last week’s game with a knee injury, and now the team will likely have Ridder under center as he goes against his former team. 

Ridder is 8-9 in his career as a starter, and will be fueled by the fact that he is facing his former Falcons teammates.

Meanwhile, the quarterback on the other side of the field is amid the worst slump of his career. Kirk Cousins has zero touchdowns and eight interceptions over his last four games, and the Falcons defense has recorded just one takeaway in the last five.

Neither team has inspired much confidence from a win/loss perspective as they have 13 consecutive losses between them.

The public would generally fade a team down to its third-string quarterback, but most of those teams don’t have a player they can insert that has 17 career starts under his belt. 

Given Kirk Cousins ' prime-time struggles, the line could also move in Las Vegas’ favor. Cousins is 4-10 SU on Monday Night Football, and his teams have been held under 20 points in nine of those 14 games.

Spread

  • Falcons best odds: -4 (-110) via Caesars
  • Raiders best odds: +4.5 (-110) via DraftKings

DraftKings and FanDuel are the only top sports betting sites with a spread as high as +4.5, as all others are a half-point lower at +4.

Las Vegas is just the second team in NFL history to trail by 10 or more points in each of its first 13 games of a season (joining the 1986 Indianapolis Colts). 

That nugget means it is more likely that the majority of the spread money will back the Falcons, but it could also come in handy from a live betting perspective for bettors who like Las Vegas from the onset.
