Last Updated: December 24, 2022 5:20 AM EST • 2 min 27 sec read.
The NFC East is still up for grabs between the Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys. Read on for our Eagles vs. Cowboys NFL pick based on the best odds.
Philadelphia not only would clinch the NFC East with a win this week, but also the No. 1 seed and home field throughout the playoffs. The 13-1 Eagles have already tied a franchise record for wins in a season and have averaged 33 points per game during a five-game win streak.
Dallas became the fourth NFC team to clinch a playoff berth by way of Washington's loss last week. In last week's loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Cowboys fell to 0-3 on natural grass this season. In that game, Dallas allowed 17-plus points in the second half/overtime for the first time this season.
Dallas has won three of its last four games against Philadelphia, with the Eagles' lone win coming in a 26-17 Week 6 victory. Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott did not play in that game.

Eagles vs. Cowboys Odds Analysis
The Cowboys opened as 1.5-point home favorites, but spiked as high as -5.5 after it was learned Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts sprained his throwing shoulder last week; it has since settled at -4.5 across most sportsbooks. Despite the injury concern, Philadelphia has attracted 62% of the spread bets and 63% of the cash.
The total dropped from 50.5 to as low as 47 before bouncing back a half-point in most spots. The Over is now the popular bet at 82% f the cash and 74% of the tickets.
Eagles vs. Cowboys Pick
Under 47 ⭐⭐
Dallas has scored 27-plus points in seven consecutive games, tying the longest streak in franchise history. In addition, running back Ezekiel Elliott became the second Cowboy ever with a rushing touchdown in seven straight games. However, the Eagles will be the one to put an end to both streaks.
The Eagles rank first with 55 sacks (the most through 14 games since the 2000 Saints), interceptions (15), and yards per play allowed (4.7). They are fourth in defensive efficiency and face Prescott amid a poor streak where he has committed 10 turnovers since Week 7 (tied for the most in the NFL in that span).
ESPN Analytics gives the Eagles a 39% chance to win if Hurts plays and a 23% chance if Gardner Minshew is called to action. Hurts ranks second in yards per attempt (8.2), second in TD-INT ratio (22-5), fourth in Total QBR (69), and fourth in passing and rushing touchdowns (35). That is a lot of production to replace, and since we do not expect Hurts to play, the drop in the total is justified.
