Two teams desperate for a win clash tonight on Sunday Night Football with the Dallas Cowboys (3-3) heading to Levi's Stadium to face the San Francisco 49ers (3-4) for an 8:20 p.m. ET kickoff on NBC.

Our best Cowboys vs. 49ers SNF prop bets based on the latest Sunday Night Football odds are focused on both quarterbacks in this pivotal matchup between underperforming squads.

We also have our eyes on an emerging young back to go off against a struggling rush defense as part of our Week 8 NFL predictions.

Brock Purdy Over 0.5 interceptions (-115) ⭐⭐⭐

Purdy threw three interceptions last week, and he’s now thrown six in his last four games and seven on the year. He’s thrown at least one interception in four games this season. With so many of his usual weapons out or hobbling into this week, it’s hard to like Purdy even in a favorable matchup.

The Cowboys have intercepted just two passes and have just one interception in their last three games. But Purdy has thrown his interceptions against the Kansas City Chiefs, Arizona Cardinals, and New England Patriots in recent weeks, teams averaging 0.8, 0.7, and 0.4 interceptions per game, respectively.

Our best sports betting apps are favoring this Over at the moment, but bet365 is offering the best price. To get this anywhere near +100 based on his recent play is fantastic.

I look closer at this pick with my Brock Purdy SNF player prop bets.

Dak Prescott Over 34.5 passing attempts (-115) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Prescott has attempted more than 34.5 passes in half of his games this season and has attempted at least 32 passes in five of six. Because the Cowboys keep falling behind opponents, they’re averaging 39.7 pass attempts per game, second-most in the league.

The 49ers are allowing 31.7 pass attempts per contest, and over the last three weeks, they’re allowing an average of 36.3. The 49ers rank eighth in first-half scoring, while the Cowboys have one of the worst first-half scoring defenses in the league. With the Cowboys playing from behind again, Prescott will throw the ball close to 40 times for the fourth time.

Three of our best sportsbooks have this set at 34.5, while two others have it at 35.5. Right now, the best price for either of these numbers is -115, which bet365 is offering for over 34.5.

Jordan Mason to score a first-half touchdown (+170) ⭐⭐⭐

The Cowboys enter Week 8 with the second-most points allowed per game in the first half. Teams are averaging 16.3 first-half points per game against them, meaning the 49ers should be in line for at least two first-half touchdowns on Sunday.

But the main reason I love Mason in this game is that the Cowboys' run defense has allowed a lot of rushing touchdowns. They’re second-worst in the league, allowing 1.7 per contest. Mason only has three touchdowns, and he hasn’t scored since Week 4, so we're getting a good price here.

Because of his lack of scoring, taking -145 for him to score an anytime touchdown is expensive. Since the Cowboys struggle in the first half of games, if he does score, it will likely come in the first 60 minutes.

Our Mike Spector is also backing Jordan Mason as part of his Cowboys vs. 49ers prediction, as is C. Jackson Cowart in his NFL Week 8 player prop picks.
