The Denver Broncos will look to clinch a playoff spot against the Kansas City Chiefs.

There will be a lot of unfamiliar faces on the field, which presented a challenge as I put together the best Chiefs vs. Broncos player prop picks for Sunday’s 4:25 p.m. ET (CBS) game in Denver. The Chiefs are 10.5-point underdogs in the , and they'll be without Patrick Mahomes and other key players this week.

While the Chiefs will be starting Carson Wentz at quarterback, the Broncos and Bo Nix have everything to play for as they look to lock up a postseason berth. What should we expect from the Broncos’ key players?

The Broncos come into the matchup as long shots in the Super Bowl odds, though they boast NFL Defensive Player of the Year odds favorite Patrick Surtain.

No Broncos player has scored more touchdowns than Sutton this season. He's logged seven thus far, and the wideout has scored in two of his last three games. Sutton also reached paydirt once during the first game against the Chiefs this season, despite all of Kansas City's defensive starters playing.

Now the Chiefs will play numerous defensive backups this week, as cornerback Trent McDuffie and safety Justin Reid are both listed as doubtful for the contest. The backups are going to struggle against Sutton, who has been enjoying a standout season against some of the league's best defensive teams.

The price for this prop is +110 at all of our other best sportsbooks offering it except for FanDuel. Pounce now since the odds at FanDuel are significantly better.

Our Mike Spector is also backing Sutton as part of his NFL Week 18 best bets.

The only way Nix doesn’t top this number is if the Broncos win by so much that he's not needed much in the second half. However, the Broncos aren’t going to leave anything up to chance in this game with their season on the line.

Nix threw for 215 yards against all the Chiefs’ starters during the first meeting this season between the two clubs. Since then he’s thrown for 260-plus yards in four of his last six games. The Chiefs boast the 14th-ranked pass defense in football. But with key players like McDuffie and Reid likely out, it’s hard to imagine them keeping the red-hot rookie in check.

The lowest total available is 222.5 yards at FanDuel, but the price is slightly worse. Based on how Nix has been playing, and who the Chiefs will put on the field, take the two extra yards for a better price as part of your NFL Week 18 predictions.

While the Broncos’ rushing attack has been a mess this season, McLaughlin has emerged as the preferred back lately. Javonte Williams received zero carries last week, and McLaughlin led all Broncos running backs with 10 attempts.

McLaughlin is now second on the team in carries, and he’s averaging 4.7 yards per carry. He’s also listed as the starter on the depth chart. So while he'll split time with Audric Estime, McLaughlin should get the greater workload as the more effective and preferred back.

The tailback has only carried the ball more than 8.5 times in four games this season, but he’s rushed at least 10 times in two of his last three. I expect him to receive plenty of carries late with the Broncos potentially getting out to a large lead in this game.
