Steelers vs. Ravens expert picks

Sean Tomlinson: Up to 10 inches of snow could fall on Saturday in Baltimore. That includes two-to-four inches in the evening, and 25-mph wind gusts are also forecasted for during the game. It's often said that weather is the great equalizer, but I'm unsure that's the case in this matchup. Even the most skilled passers and passing offenses are limited in those conditions. But that's not how Baltimore thrives anyway, and making the Ravens lean even more into their punishing ground game is a recipe for a thumping. Pick: Ravens -9.5 ()

Andrew Brennan: The NFL MVP odds contender is projected for just 0.26 rushing touchdowns, but I'm also factoring in a bit of the postseason intangibles I mentioned at the top. Star players just do star player things when the playoffs roll around, and in this AFC North showdown, I'm willing to bet that Jackson will outperform his projection. Pick: Lamar Jackson anytime TD () ⭐⭐⭐

Gabe Henderson: I'm of the opinion that Baltimore blows Pittsburgh out of the water in this game. That'll require scoring points. Seeing as Andrews has found the end zone at a 58.82% clip this year, it's hard to figure out why he's got plus-money odds at DraftKings that carry a 39.22% implied probability. A $10 wager on Andrews to extend his scoring streak to seven returns $15.50 in profits.. Pick: Mark Andrews anytime TD () ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Mike Spector: Russell Wilson threw for 205 and 217 yards during the two regular-season meetings with Baltimore. I expect the Ravens to keep him Under this projected total. They're No. 1 in both defensive efficiency and scoring defense since moving Kyle Hamilton to safety during the second half of the season. Pick: Russell Wilson Under 207.5 passing yards () ⭐⭐⭐

Steelers vs. Ravens Pick 'Em plays

  • Pat Freiermuth Over 4.5 receptions: After a slow start to the year, Freiermuth has ramped things up in the past month-and-a-half. The Steelers’ tight end had a season high 11 targets and 8 receptions in Pittsburgh’s regular season finale against Cincinnati. ⭐⭐⭐
  • Lamar Jackson under 217.5 passing yards: I hate betting against a monster Lamar game, but here’s thinking Mike Tomlin will pick the Derrick Henry poison over the Ravens’ QB. Lamar posted exactly 207 yards passing in each game against Pittsburgh this season. ⭐⭐⭐⭐
  • Kyle Van Noy Over 0.5 sacks: Van Noy has posted at least 1 sack in each of his last five games. Getting to creaky, old Russell Wilson shouldn’t be difficult. ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Broncos vs. Bills expert picks

Matt Burke: Betting against a rookie QB on the road in the playoffs? Yes, please. Buffalo is rested and ready to unload. Pick: Bills -8.5 () ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Andrew Brennan: I'm guessing the idea is that the Broncos won't be afforded the opportunity to run the ball in the second half, but that doesn't worry me considering Audric Estime could get Over his total on seven or eight first-half carries. I also really like Estime to go Over 5.5 carries, and I have no problem double-dipping on both of these props. The best number for that bet is -120 via FanDuel. Pick: Audric Estime Over 20.5 rushing yards () ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Gabe Henderson: Denver boasts the league's No. 3 scoring defense that saw it only lose by nine points or more on one occasion across 17 weeks. Sean Payton is exceptional against the spread as an underdog in his coaching career (54-39-2). We'll bank on the Broncos' defense keeping this contest closer than our best sportsbooks suggest at three-star confidence. Pick: Broncos +8.5 () ⭐⭐⭐

Mike Spector: Coleman saw a career-high 10 targets last week. Still, the fact that he was playing alongside several Buffalo backups suggests that the coaching staff knew he needed more reps for his confidence heading into the playoffs. If you told me that Denver corner back Patrick Surtain would be lined up against Coleman for at least half of his snaps, I would back this play with 100 stars of confidence. Pick: Keon Coleman Under 29.5 receiving yards () ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Broncos vs. Bills Pick 'Em plays

  • Josh Allen Over 233.5 passing yards: Love Josh Allen in this game. The Denver defense ranked 19th in the regular season in passing yards allowed per game. Allen should eclipse this number with ease. ⭐⭐⭐⭐
  • Amari Cooper Over 9.5 first half receiving yards: Cooper has been hit or miss since arriving in Buffalo. But 9.5 first half receiving yards seems like a low number and I expect Josh Allen to be slinging it early. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 1/2
  • Dalton Kincaid Under 17.5 yards longest reception: Just playing the percentages with this one. Kincaid has gone under 17.5 yards for his longest reception in eight of 13 games played this season. He did not have a reception longer than 29 yards this season. ⭐⭐⭐

Packers vs. Eagles expert picks

Matt Burke: The Packers have been blowout-proof this season as their average margin of loss in their 6 losses has been 4.0 points. Expect a close one in Philly. Pick: Packers +4.5 () ⭐⭐⭐

Gary Pearson: The Eagles have the best defense in the league via PFF, the best running back, and arguably the best running back-quarterback tandem; also, they enjoyed what closely resembled a bye to finish the season, resting most key starters. On the other hand, the Packers lumber into the playoffs, losing two straight. And even if Love is 100% healthy, the Packers struggled against playoff teams, losing five of seven. Pick: Eagles -4.5 () ⭐⭐⭐

Andrew Brennan: Josh Jacobs' touchdown projection for Sunday's game is 0.59, which does represent one of his lowest projections in a long time. However, these odds are also far longer than anything available during the second half of the season, as Jacobs was regularly trading near -200 to score. Let's take advantage of this newfound value. Pick: Josh Jacobs Anytime TD () ⭐⭐⭐

Mike Spector: Barkley is well-rested after being given Week 18 off, and in two of the last three games where he ran for 124-plus yards, he failed to score. There should be positive regression from a TD standpoint for a running back who just ran for the eighth-most yards all-time. Barkley’s anytime touchdown scorer odds are juiced as high as -200, so I am opting for a much better payout with Barkley to set the tone as Philadelphia’s first touchdown scorer. Pick: Saquon Barkley to score Eagles’ first TD () ⭐⭐⭐

Packers vs. Eagles Pick 'Em plays

  • Josh Jacobs Over 21.5 receiving yards: Jacobs is an excellent receiver out of the backfield. He sprang for 74 yards receiving against the Dolphins earlier this year and 58 yards receiving against Chicago. Expect Green Bay to utilize the versatile back in a variety of different ways. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 1/2
  • Jordan Love Under 222.5 passing yards: Love is an efficient QB but he’s not going to break the all-time passing yardage record anytime soon. He’ll be facing an Eagles defense that allows the least amount of passing yards per game (174.2). ⭐⭐⭐
  • Jordan Love Under 0.5 interceptions: Love has been a master at protecting the football over the past month or so as he hasn’t thrown an INT since November 17. Expect Matt LaFleur to dial up a conservative passing attack. ⭐⭐⭐ 1/2

Commanders vs. Buccaneers expert picks

Phil Wood: The Buccaneers are the right play, and their rushing attack is the main reason why. Bucky Irving has topped 80 yards in three of his last four, and he’s the team’s clear No. 1 running back - something that wasn’t the case in Week 1. He’s in for a huge game on Sunday against a Commanders’ run defense that has struggled this season, allowing 137.5 rushing yards per game. That ranks third-worst in the league. Pick: Buccaneers -3 ().

Andrew Brennan: Jayden Daniels apparently dealt with some "leg soreness" during the team's epic Week 18 win against the Dallas Cowboys, but head coach Dan Quinn said he's not concerned, and Daniels has been running wild since Week 12. Sure, both Brian Robinson and Austin Ekeler are healthy for the Commanders, but Daniels remains the team's best runner. When your season is on the line, you give the ball to your best players and let them cook. Pick: Jayden Daniels anytime TD () ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Expert 3: I respect Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles’ track record against a rookie quarterback and I am optimistic he will not employ the same strategy that led to such a big day from Daniels with his legs. Look for Bowles to keep him in the pocket more, and I am making the Under on Daniels’ rushing yards a three-star play, even though he is the only rookie in NFL history to pass for 3,500 yards and rush for 800 yards. Pick: Jayden Daniels Under 48.5 rushing yards () ⭐⭐⭐

Commanders vs. Buccaneers Pick 'Em plays

  • Jayden Daniels Under 0.5 interceptions: Daniels had a phenomenal rookie regular season but the playoffs is a different beast, particularly on the road. Daniels has thrown seven of his nine interceptions on the season in the past seven games. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 1/2
  • Baker Mayfield Over 269.5 pass + rush yards: Mayfield has six 300-plus passing yard games this season, so he may eclipse this number with just his arm. The Bucs’ QB can also rack up some rushing yardage. He ran for 68 yards on Jan. 5 against New Orleans and 42 yards back on Oct. 3 against the Falcons. ⭐⭐⭐⭐
  • Calijah Kancey Over 0.5 sacks: Daniels has been sacked 18 times in the past four games. It’s a good bet that Kancey, the team’s sack leader, gets to him at least once. ⭐⭐⭐ 1/2

Vikings vs. Rams expert picks

Matt Burke: The Rams are well-rested after sitting their starters in Week 18. At full strength, Sean McVay’s crew hasn’t lost since Nov. 24. Minnesota, meanwhile, had some warts exposed in its Week 18 blowout loss to Detroit. Pick: Rams +1.5 () ⭐⭐⭐

Mike Spector: Many have been critical of Sam Darnold after last week’s performance against the Detroit Lions, when he completed 18-of-41 passes for a season-low 166 yards and zero touchdowns. However, I am giving Darnold a pass considering the Lions’ brilliant defensive game plan, as Detroit blitzed on a season-high 56% of pass attempts, and got pressure on 42% of those. Pick: Sam Darnold Over 265.5 passing yards () ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Esten McLaren: The Vikings and Rams are playing at a (mostly) neutral field due to the wildfires in California, and I think the Vikings are being disrespected after coming one win shy of earning the NFC's first-round bye. Pick: Vikings -2.5 ()

Vikings vs. Rams Pick 'Em plays

  • Cooper Kupp Over 49.5 receiving yards: I thought about going with Puka Nacua here but his projected total (88.5) is a little to high for my blood. Kupp’s 49.5 yards is much more reasonable and he thrives against zone coverage, which Minnesota utilizes. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 1/2
  • Cam Akers Over 22.5 rushing yards: Akers has been getting a good amount of touches down the stretch this season. Aaron Jones is banged up with a quad injury that may limit his effectiveness and teams have little problem running on the Rams (130.0 yards allowed per game). ⭐⭐⭐⭐
  • Braden Fiske Over 0.5 sacks: Sam Darnold has been sacked a whopping 48 times this season, which is the fourth most in the NFL. Braden Fiske, who has 8.5 sacks on the season, could feast. ⭐⭐⭐ 1/2
