Bengals vs. Giants Prediction: Sunday Night Football Odds and SNF Picks
Last Updated: October 13, 2024 5:30 PM EDT • 4 min 13 sec read.
The Cincinnati Bengals (1-4) and New York Giants (2-3) look to bounce back tonight on Sunday Night Football when they meet at MetLife Stadium at 8:15 p.m. ET on NBC.
- The Bengals remain 3.5-point favorites by the Sunday Night Football odds after four losses by a combined 15 total points
- Only 6% of teams that start 1-4 have made the playoffs in the Super Bowl era (since 1966)
- The Giants are coming off consecutive road wins for the first time since 2022
As part of our Week 6 NFL predictions, my Bengals vs. Giants prediction focuses on the home underdog and expects Daniel Jones to shake his woes in prime time.
Bengals vs. Giants odds movement: Sunday Night Football
The Bengals opened as high as -4.5 across our best sportsbooks earlier in the week, but that line quickly moved to -3.5 and remains there in the hours before tonight's kickoff against the Giants.
We've seen far more movement on the total, which climbed to as high as 49 but now sits at a consensus 45.5 entering Sunday Night Football.

New York is off an impressive victory
Few gave the Giants a chance last week at Seattle once running back Devin Singletary and superstar rookie wideout Malik Nabers were ruled out. However, in the win, New York totaled season-highs in points (29), yards (420), and rushing yards (175).
New York backup running back Tyrone Tracy Jr.’s 129 rushing yards were the most of any player in Week 5. And this is the right opponent to continue that success against, as the Bengals allow the third-most rushing yards per game.
Daniel Jones is playing his best football
Though this is a home game, it is worth pointing out that Giants quarterback Daniel Jones is 2-1 on the road with a 6-0 TD-INT ratio.
Jones has a 6-1 TD-INT ratio in his last four games. He faces a Bengals defense that ranks 21st and has allowed 10 passing touchdowns (tied for the third-most).
Jones has three games with two or more passing touchdowns and zero interceptions this season, which is something he did three times in the previous five seasons. He also has thrown for 230-plus yards in three straight games, while Cincinnati’s defense has allowed 274 passing yards per game and an 8-1 TD-INT ratio over the last three games.
Jones is solid against poor defenses
Bengals backers will quickly point out that Daniel Jones is 1-14 SU at night in his career, including a 0-7 record at home. However, he is also a great ATS quarterback when facing poor defenses.
The Bengals allow 29 points per game, the second-most in the league. Jones is 10-6 ATS as an underdog in 16 career games against defenses that allow at least 24 points per game.
The betting splits suggest that oddsmakers are comfortable needing the Giants in this spot. The line has not moved off of -3.5 all week despite Cincinnati attracting the at ESPN BET as of Thursday afternoon, and our interest in the underdog hasn't budged since making our Bengals vs. Giants early picks.

Joe Burrow Over 23.5 completions (-115) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Cincinnati’s top two running backs, Zack Moss and Chase Brown, were limited participants in practice as late as Thursday. But given how hot Burrow has been lately, the Bengals will likely keep employing a heavy passing attack this week.
Over the last four weeks, Burrow has averaged 301 passing yards per game with a 12-2 TD-INT ratio. And Cincinnati has one of the most pass-heavy offenses in the league, throwing 62% of the time.
New York’s ability to pressure the quarterback is a concern, given its league-high 22 sacks. But Burrow has been “Joe Cool” under pressure, completing 17 of 28 passes for 256 yards and three touchdowns.
Burrow leads an offense that ranks second in the NFL in Offensive Efficiency. In addition, Cincinnati ranks in the top six of the league in points per game (28.0), yards per play (6.1), and third-down conversion rate (47.5%).
This is a four-star play, as Burrow has completed 24 or more passes in two of the last three weeks, and his receiving corps is the healthiest it has been all season. The Over is juiced as high as -120 at BetMGM, so I am placing my $10 wager at DraftKings to net $8.70 in profits.
