The regular season is winding down, which makes each game that much more important with many teams still battling for a playoff spot.

We've targeted two such teams for our anytime touchdown scorer predictions across the 1 p.m. ET and 4 p.m. ET Sunday windows, and two of our picks come from the same very hungry group.

Then we turn our attention toward the last man standing for a perennial NFC West contender's backfield, but he's shown he's a capable running back when called upon.

Finally, we have an exciting AFC West showdown for Sunday Night Football, and we're backing a suddenly undervalued running back who should still earn his fair share of touches.

We're offering bettors these touchdown picks and so much more with our NFL Week 14 predictions.

I wonder if our NFL prop betting sites know that Mike Evans leads the NFL in receiving touchdowns during the last two seasons with 20 (tied with Ja'Marr Chase).

For some reason, despite his proclivity for finding the end zone, Evans is still trading at relatively long odds to score on Sunday. Even his shortest price of +105 is still showing solid value.

We're not betting on Evans to score simply because he so often has in the past. His TD projection for Week 14 is a whopping 0.65. That's tied with Chase for the highest receiving TD projection, and yet the Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver's touchdown odds are no better than -150, while we're getting this outrageously good +125 number for Evans.

Perhaps the longer odds are due to some uncertainty regarding Evans' health, but he looked perfectly fine last week while hauling in eight of 12 targets. He was back at practice on Friday, and I have zero concerns about him being limited against the Las Vegas Raiders. Let's make it back-to-back weeks of hitting on an Evans TD.

Raiders vs. Buccaneers anytime touchdown scorer prediction: Bucky Irving, Buccaneers, RB ⭐⭐⭐⭐

That brings us to our second Buccaneers player, who fits this team perfectly both in terms of his playing style and his name.

Much like many of his teammates - but especially quarterback Baker Mayfield - Irving plays the game in a way that endears you to a fanbase. He offers an explosiveness that Rachaad White never did, and as a result, he's become the unofficial alpha in this backfield.

Irving's TD projection reflects that, as it's among the most elite for running backs this week at 0.74. Let's compare his odds to some of the players with similar projections:

  • Irving: 0.74 TDs, +100
  • James Conner: 0.79 TDs, -125
  • Alvin Kamara: 0.75 TDs, -190
  • Kyren Williams: 0.75 TDs, -140
  • Najee Harris: 0.71 TDs, -130
  • De'Von Achane: 0.70 TDs, -140

As you can see, Irving is the only running back in that range with even-money odds, which is simply the result of the narrative that he "shares" this backfield.

Bears vs. 49ers anytime touchdown scorer prediction: Isaac Guerendo, 49ers, RB ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Best odds: +105 via Caesars | Implied probability: 48.78%

Christian McCaffrey is likely done for the year. Jordan Mason will be done for at least the next four games when he's placed on IR as expected. Elijah Mitchell never made it to the regular season. That leaves 2024 fourth-round pick Isaac Guerendo as the last man standing in this San Francisco 49ers backfield.

As a result, we'll likely see Guerendo get all the touches he can handle much like Mason did to open the season. Add in the fact that Deebo Samuel looks like he's running in quicksand, and I like Guerendo's chances to get any rushing work when the 49ers get in the red zone.

The data supports this, too, as Guerendo is projected for 0.67 TDs and (in my opinion, more importantly) an absurd 21 touches.

The rookie has been efficient when called upon to handle any significant workload this season, taking 10 carries for 99 yards in Week 6 and 14 carries for 85 yards in Week 8. He also has a plus matchup against a Chicago Bears team that's been run on for fun since its Week 7 bye.

I imagine the reason we're getting this amazing price on Kareem Hunt to score is because our best sports betting apps are operating under the impression that Isiah Pacheco will get even more of the rushing work during his second game back from injury. And that'll likely be the case, but it won't be as extreme as these odds suggest.

Pacheco's TD prop is trading at +120 while Hunt's is +210. However, let's break down their projections:

  • Pacheco: 11.69 carries, 1.93 receptions, 0.43 TDs
  • Hunt: 10.43 carries, 0.99 receptions, 0.41 TDs

Last week, in Pacheco's first game back, the two split the carries evenly, though Hunt led significantly with four targets to Pacheco's one. The latter was much more efficient, so he will likely get more work just as our best sportsbooks expect.

However, in a tough matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers, I doubt the Kansas City Chiefs force their recently healthy running back to handle much more work, as they certainly hope to keep him fresh for a playoff run.

We'll back the veteran at these very long odds.
