Anytime Touchdown Scorer Predictions for MNF: Bengals vs. Cowboys

With one of the highest totals of Week 14, we could be treated to a shootout when the Cincinnati Bengals visit Jerry World to take on the Dallas Cowboys on Monday Night Football.

I'm not sure there's any market available at our best sports betting sites that I love betting on more than anytime touchdowns. You get to combine the inherent excitement associated with a player scoring a touchdown with potentially making money off said play. 

And it's even more enticing when a game features a total nearing 50 like this one does.

With the Bengals' secondary resembling Swiss cheese and the Cowboys being the Cowboys, we've scoured the Monday Night Football odds and are targeting a pair of star wide receivers to score at very tasty plus-money prices.

No, we aren't betting on Ja'Marr Chase like you may have seen in our Bengals vs. Cowboys MNF prop bets and Ja'Marr Chase MNF player prop bets. Instead, we're backing his suddenly underrated teammate. 

On the other side, after losing a good number on a Rico Dowdle touchdown (we looked at his rushing yards prop in our Bengals vs. Cowboys prediction), we're pivoting to a superstar who's due for a significant game.

As part of our NFL Week 14 predictions, here are my two best anytime touchdown scorer predictions for Monday Night Football.

Bengals anytime touchdown scorer prediction: Tee Higgins, WR ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Best odds: | Implied probability: 42.55%

I out on Thursday, and somehow the odds haven't moved at all. So let's take advantage of this pricing mistake that Caesars and DraftKings made.

Tee Higgins might be the NFL's most underrated wide receiver, which is likely a result of his regular injury issues. However, he's not injured right now, is he? He's healthy and dominant, and his projections reflect that status.

Higgins is getting the fifth-best receiving yards and receiving touchdown projections in Week 14. While Chase trades at -140 to score a touchdown, Higgins is +135. That's nearly a 16% gap in implied probability, though the differences in their projections are marginal.

The Cowboys can try to "foul Shaq" all they want on Monday night, but Higgins will get free in the end zone eventually. When he does, we'll be thankful for these +135 odds, as a $10 wager will result in a $13.50 profit.

Cowboys anytime touchdown scorer prediction: CeeDee Lamb, WR ⭐⭐⭐

Best odds: | Implied probability: 40%

I bet on Dowdle to score at +121 on Thursday, but the best number is now just -110 through our NFL parlay betting sites. That's not a terrible price based on his projection, but I don't really love paying into minus-money odds for a player to find the end zone.

Instead, let's turn our attention to CeeDee Lamb. He hasn't scored a touchdown since Week 8, and the superstar has logged just four all season.

It's been a down year for Lamb, who found the end zone 14 times in 2023. However, despite his shoulder injury and backup Cooper Rush standing under center, Lamb is still getting solid projections against a brutal Bengals secondary.

Lamb is receiving the seventh-highest receptions projection in Week 14, and his 0.42 TD projection is strong, too.

Our best sports betting apps are pricing Lamb based on what he's done recently, and not what the pass-catcher is capable of or expected to do next. 

The Bengals have allowed six touchdowns to wide receivers in their last three games, and two of those outings were against the Pittsburgh Steelers and Los Angeles Chargers, so ... yikes.

Look for Lamb to be targeted 12-plus times on Monday night, and he should get plenty of looks inside the red zone as well.
