The No. 14 Oklahoma Sooners (10-0) will put their unblemished record to the test when they face the No. 24 Michigan Wolverines (8-2) at 9 p.m. ET on Wednesday from the Spectrum Center on ESPN. Michigan sits 13th in the Final Four odds.

Despite the undefeated record, the Sooners are 3.5-point underdogs due to their softer schedule so far. On the other side, the Wolverines are coming off a narrow 89-87 road loss to Arkansas.

Now that the spread has moved from 2.5 to more than a full possession, I’m interested in taking the points with the Sooners. They may simply be the better team.

Oklahoma’s schedule hasn’t been the most difficult, but this squad has been passing every challenge thus far. The Sooners dismantled the Oklahoma State Cowboys (80-65) last time, and they also defeated Arizona and Louisville earlier this year.

OU is excellent at forcing turnovers, with the team ranking 19th in defensive turnover rate (22.4%) and fifth in steal rate (14.8%). Meanwhile, Michigan is 335th with an offensive turnover rate of 21.4%.

OU freshman guard Jeremiah Fears has been making an immediate impact during what might be his only season at the collegiate level before jumping to the NBA. Fears is 50th in the nation in assist rate (32.9%) while averaging 4.7 dimes per contest.

He's recorded at least four dimes in seven of his 10 games this season. Fears averaged 24.3 minutes per contest in the three games when he didn’t clear this mark compared to his season average of 28.3 minutes.

The standout registered 33 minutes against Oklahoma State. I like his chances of recording four assists if he’s on the floor that much against Michigan, especially at this -105 price from BetMGM.
