Oklahoma freshman Jeremiah Fears ranks 12th in the country in usage rate, indicating how much the No. 21 Sooners (7-0) trust him.

Fears finished with four assists during Friday’s win over Louisville, snapping a three-game streak of at least five dimes. But OU only scored 69 points, and Fears played 24 minutes after logging 31-plus minutes in the previous three outings.

Bart Torvik’s analytical website projects an 81-71 victory for Oklahoma over Georgia Tech (4-3), which is why I like Fears’ chances of recording at least five assists. The odds are as low as +115 at DraftKings, but I’d play it at +110 or better.

Chase Hunter Under 17.5 points ⭐⭐⭐

Best odds: -115 via bet365 | Implied probability: 53.49%

Of all the players in Tuesday’s Kentucky (7-0) vs. Clemson (7-1) matchup, the Tigers’ Chase Hunter is getting the highest scoring prop at 17.5. The Under is juiced to -129 at Caesars and -120 through BetMGM, illustrating the bargain that bet365’s current value provides.

Hunter is averaging 16.4 points per game this season, but he hasn’t cleared this prop since dropping 30 against Boise State on Nov. 17. The guard has only finished with 18-plus points in two of his eight contests this year.

The senior has hit multiple 3-pointers in all but one game, but No. 4 Kentucky ranks eighth in the country at defending the long ball. I expect the Wildcats to keep Hunter in check from deep.

College basketball game predictions for Tuesday

Cincinnati to cover the spread (-3.5) vs. Villanova ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Best odds: -110 via BetMGM | Implied probability: 52.38%

Handicapping college basketball becomes more complicated once teams start playing actual road games. But it certainly helps to win and cover on the road when a team plays defense like the No. 14 Cincinnati Bearcats.

The Bearcats (6-0) rank 15th in adjusted defensive efficiency, leading the country in effective field-goal percentage allowed. They're also in the top 10 in 3-point defense, which is ideal against a Villanova (4-4) squad that sits 27th in 3-point shooting.

Cincinnati hasn’t allowed more than 60 points in a game this season. I’ll bet on that defense, and the Bearcats winning by more than a single possession against Villanova.

Miami to cover the spread (+5) vs. Arkansas ⭐⭐⭐

Best odds: -110 via bet365 | Implied probability: 52.38%

Miami has already reached team meeting status after its 3-4 start, which includes four straight losses. The Hurricanes held a players-only meeting after losing to Charleston Southern as 25-point favorites.

But that’s precisely when I want to jump on board as a bettor. Miami is now undervalued in the market, with this spread climbing from 3.5 to 5. Bart Torvik projects a 78-77 road win for Arkansas, suggesting value on the home team.

John Calipari’s Razorbacks (5-2) are coming off a 90-77 defeat to Illinois in their first road test, and they'll now face an inspired Hurricanes outfit on Tuesday. I’m taking the points at +5 or better.
