Fresh off their best performance of the season, the Minnesota Timberwolves (10-10) travel to face the Los Angeles Clippers (14-9) at 10:30 p.m. ET on Wednesday inside the Intuit Dome.

The Timberwolves demolished the Lakers 109-80 at home on Monday, a performance that aligned better with their top-ranked defense last year. They've won two straight after their 93-92 home victory over the Clippers last Friday. The T-Wolves enter tonight as a long shot in the NBA Championship odds.

The Clippers have also won consecutive games following that loss in Minnesota, but they come into Wednesday's matchup as 2.5-point underdogs.

Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards is in an offensive slump this week, though he's still sixth in the NBA MVP odds. He’s scored 29 total points in his past two games against the Los Angeles teams, shooting 10-for-34 from the floor.

Continuing those struggles against the Clippers makes sense. They rank fifth in defensive rating this season and held Edwards to 33.3% shooting last time out.

I cashed an Over on this same assist prop for Mike Conley during Minnesota's win over the Lakers on Monday. But now I’m taking the Under because that’s where I project value.

I forecast Conley to finish below five assists on Wednesday against a more formidable defensive team. He dished three dimes against the Clippers on Friday and has only cleared this mark once in his previous four outings.

Minnesota head coach Chris Finch credited Conley’s aggressive offensive approach as a scorer after the win over the Lakers. I wouldn’t be surprised to see the veteran point guard continue looking for his shot.
