Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic as we make our best Nuggets vs. Cavaliers player prop bets.

The Denver Nuggets are fresh off a quality win against the Golden State Warriors two days ago, but they’ve traded wins and losses across their last five. The Cleveland Cavaliers have won two straight, and they’ll look to be the first team to reach 20 wins when they host the visiting Nuggets tonight.

To accompany our Rockets vs. Warriors prediction, my Nuggets vs. Cavaliers player props target Cleveland’s dynamic backcourt duo to stay productive on offense.

We’re also expecting Nikola Jokic so struggle on one of his combo props when action tips off at 7 p.m. ET (NBA TV) from Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland.

Garland’s home-road splits continue to be a point of emphasis when looking at his player props, and Thursday’s matchup with Denver is no different. On the season, Garland has averaged 21.6 points at home compared to 18.7 on the road.

Garland has shot 47.1% from the field and 41.5% from beyond the arc while cashing 2.4 triples on the road. At home, he’s hit 51.2% of his shots from the field and 47.1% of his three-point attempts while knocking down 3.4 treys.

Garland has hit the Over in seven of 12 at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse this season, and he’s found success against Denver over the last three seasons.

Dating back to the 2021-22 campaign, Garland has played three games at home and three on the road against the Nuggets. He averaged 24.3 points per game at home and 11.7 on the road, hitting the Over in all three in Cleveland.

Nikola Jokic Under 49.5 points + rebounds + assists ⭐⭐⭐

Jokic has been absolutely dominant this season, so taking the Under feels a bit risky. Despite his elite production, we’re willing to take the calculated risk here.

Cleveland has allowed just 41.6 PRAs to centers this season. The Cavs have allowed the ninth-fewest rebounds and 11th-fewest points overall, making this an unfavorable matchup for Jokic. The Cavs have the size and defensive prowess to contain Jokic with a pair of seven-footers in Jarrett Allen and Evan Mobley manning the frontcourt.

Jokic has hit the Over in 12 of 16 this season, but we’re betting on him struggling against Cleveland’s strong frontcourt defense as he gets out of his comfort zone away from the home crowd at Ball Arena.

Donovan Mitchell Over 26.5 points ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Best odds: -110 via BetMGM | Implied probability: 52.38%

Mitchell has averaged just 24.3 points per game this season, and he’s hit the Over only eight times through the first 21 games of the 2024-25 campaign. But he’s been far more productive lately, and we’re rolling with the Over here.

Over his last 10, Spida has hit the Over five times, averaging 26.3 points per game. He’s averaged more points on the road than at home, but those splits are trending in the opposite direction in recent home games.

The Cavs blew out the Washington Wizards and New Orleans Pelicans in two of their last six at home. Not counting those contests, Mitchell posted 35, 30, 26, and 37 points in his last four competitive matchups at home.

The Nuggets allow the seventh-most points per game this season, and they’ve allowed the seventh-most three-pointers across their last three. We expect Mitchell to step up in a big way tonight.
