I expect a desperate performance from the Kings at home on Monday. DeMar DeRozan, the team’s major acquisition in the offseason, is my favorite player to bet on in this game due to his discounted props in the market.

DeRozan dished seven assists against the Lakers and has averaged four dimes per contest this season. This is too good of a number for a player projected to finish with 4.2 assists, suggesting a fair price of -145.

Kyrie Irving prop pick: Under 34.5 points + assists ⭐⭐⭐⭐

The Mavs are as equipped as anyone in the West to handle a stretch without their best player. But Kyrie Irving’s brilliance (46 points) wasn’t enough in Dallas’ loss to Portland. The Mavs are 1-2 since Doncic's injury on Christmas.

Irving’s points prop is a touch high at 28.5, but I’d rather target his combo prop due to the edge on his assists (more on that in a minute). Thanks to a projection of 26.4 points, I project a fair value of -150 on this Under at FanDuel.

Irving has averaged 26.1 points and 5.8 assists per game in his nine contests without Doncic this season.

Kyrie Irving prop pick: Under 5.5 assists ⭐⭐⭐

Best odds: -105 via BetMGM | Implied probability: 51.22%

Since losing Doncic, Irving has been more of a scoring threat than a facilitator. He’s recorded nine assists over his past three games. He’s averaging seven potential assists per outing over that span, including an average of 5.5 in the last two games.

The Mavs need an offensive engine if they wish to stay afloat without Doncic, but Irving’s recent approach suggests he’s not interested in filling that void. I’d take this Under at -120 or better, though this line is as steep as -125 at some of our best sports betting sites.
