In a rematch of the season opener, the Minnesota Timberwolves will host the Los Angeles Lakers at 8 p.m. ET (NBA TV) on Monday inside Target Center.

The Lakers (12-8) earned a 110-103 win over the Timberwolves (9-10) on opening night, but they enter the rematch as 7.5-point underdogs. That’s likely due to Los Angeles being shorthanded following Sunday’s 105-104 victory over the Utah Jazz.

Betting on James to struggle is the best way to have action on Monday’s Lakers-Timberwolves matchup. Lately, I’ve been attacking his turnovers prop.

James’ three turnovers against the Jazz marked the first time since Nov. 10 that he finished with fewer than four turnovers. It snapped a nine-game streak of four-plus turnovers, averaging 5.33 per game over that span.

Austin Reaves and D’Angelo Russell missed Sunday’s game in Utah. If they are out again, James will shoulder even more on-ball responsibilities, leading to more turnovers against Minnesota’s defense. I like this Over at -175 or better.
