Ice Trae returns to Madison Square Garden for the first time since Dec. 7, 2022, and we’re expecting a significant game from Atlanta’s superstar.

Young became Public Enemy No. 1 to Spike Lee and Knicks fans during the 2021 playoffs while averaging 29.2 points in five games against New York during the first round. He dropped 36 points in the series-clinching Game 5 victory, and Young took a bow after draining a logo 3-pointer during the final minute.

Young leads the NBA in assists with a career-best 12.2 per game, and he’s focusing this season on facilitating rather than scoring. His 20.9 points per game are Young's fewest since the star's rookie campaign. But given the opponent and the playoff-like atmosphere of this matchup, we’re expecting him to come out aggressively as a scorer.

The guard is averaging 24.3 points per game across eight career regular-season trips to the Mecca, including a pair of 40-burgers. He hit the Over here during all of his five playoff games against New York.

Though tonight’s matchup isn’t a playoff game, it's an elimination contest that should come with a postseason-like feel. Brunson has averaged a whopping 30.3 points, 6.6 rebounds, and four assists throughout 24 playoff outings for the Knicks.
