The Warriors (15-18) are having a tough time without guard Stephen Curry, losing their last two games by a combined 68 points. The question for Sunday is whether their strong numbers at home this season can overcome the doldrums of their current form.

The Grizzlies (20-11) are riding into Christmas Day with wins in eight of their last 10 games, but have been notably lackluster in covering the spread on the road this season. Can Memphis reverse the trend with a strong performance Sunday?

Grizzlies -5 (-110) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Backing a Memphis team that is an abysmal 4-11-1 ATS on the road this season is a scary proposition for your Christmas holiday. It should be noted that the Grizzlies’ away record against the spread is being weighed down by an 0-for-4 mark when playing as road underdogs. As road favorites, as they are Sunday, the record is a more acceptable 4-7-1 ATS.

Under normal circumstances, the Warriors would not be a team to fade against the spread in home games as Golden State is 10-4 ATS at home this season. But life without Curry has proven grim. Heading into Sunday, the Warriors have suffered consecutive losses by 30 or more points. The season-long trends must be dismissed given the current state of the Warriors without their star shooter.

The Grizzlies have won eight of their last 10 games and the 5-point spread isn’t large enough to reflect the different states of being between these two rosters.

Morant Over 1.5 made 3-pointers (-128) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Grizzlies star guard Ja Morant has knocked down multiple 3-pointers in six of his last nine games. He came up empty in going a combined 0-for-12 across the other three games, suggesting a rather all-or-nothing approach for Morant’s deep game.

Christmas Day should be a good one for Morant in this matchup. Golden State ranks 19th in the NBA in opponent 3-point percentage at 36.3%. The 13.2 made threes allowed per game by the Warriors lands Golden State at 26th in the league in the category. Though Ja is connecting on just 27% of his 3-point attempts this month, his season-long percentage suggests an outing 2-for-6 or better is in the cards.

Thompson Over 3.5 rebounds (-122) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Warriors guard Klay Thompson is averaging 3.6 rebounds per game, narrowly beating this FanDuel line. Though rebounds aren’t a huge part of Thompson’s game, he’s collected at least three boards in every game he’s played since Curry left the lineup. Thompson has cleared this rebounding line in three of his last five games.
