The Minnesota Timberwolves have lost four straight games and seven of their last nine to fall to 8-10 on the season. They’ll look for a win Friday when they host the Los Angles Clippers, winners of six of seven.

The Wolves are 1-2 in NBA Cup Group Play, while the Clippers are 1-1. A win for either team is crucial as Group Play winds to a close ahead of the knockout stage.

Best Clippers vs. Timberwolves prop predictions

Anthony Edwards Over 26.5 points ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Edwards had some strong words for the media following Minnesota’s tough loss to the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday. He called his team “soft, front runners, and a bunch of little kids” as the team dropped its fourth straight after blowing a late lead.

Edwards is Minnesota’s leading scorer this season with a career-high 28.1 points per game, and his scoring line is set far too low based on his strong offensive showing. Edwards has hit the Over in three straight and 10 of 18 this season. He’s scored exactly 26 in two more.

Last season, Ant-Man averaged 30 points in four matchups with the Clippers and hit the Over thrice. This line is already set way too low, but given his team’s need for a win and his harsh comments, we can fully expect him to go off and lead his team to a win with 27 or more points. We are hammering this easy Over.

James Harden Over 36.5 points + rebounds + assists ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Harden is fresh off a 43-point, four-rebound, seven-assist performance in Los Angeles’ win over the Washington Wizards, but we’re not chasing numbers based on that performance. Harden has been stellar this season as the Clippers’ floor general and key scoring option.

Through 20 games, Harden has averaged 37.5 PRAs and hit the Over 10 times. That includes 37 PRAs at home and 37.9 on the road.

Harden has been particularly effective over his last five games, averaging 39.2 PRAs and hitting the Over three times with Norman Powell on the sidelines. Powell is questionable, but even if he returns, we’re taking the Over here.

We’re expecting Anthony Edwards to get his team motivated, and that should mean a competitive game from the Wolves, forcing Harden to score and facilitate at a high clip (pun intended).

Julius Randle Over 20.5 points ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Best odds: -115 via BetMGM | Implied probability: 53.49%

There’s no way we’re not taking the Over on this scoring line tonight. Just like Edwards’ 26.5 line, Randle’s 21.5 line is set incredibly low, and it offers a perfect opportunity to take advantage.

Randle has scored at least 20 points in seven straight and at least 21 in six straight. Over his last seven, he’s averaged 24.1 points.

Randle has scored at least 21 points in 12 of 18 games this season, good for 66.7% of his appearances. Given the frequency of the Over, we’d expect the odds on this line to be -200, meaning we’re getting a steep discount.

Randle has hit the Over in six of nine at home, and we’re expecting he and Edwards to get the team back on track following another tough loss. Randle scored at least 21 in all three matchups with the Clippers last season, and he did so in four of his last five dating back to the 2022-23 campaign.
