The Celtics and Nuggets enter Tuesday’s 10 p.m. ET (TNT) game in Denver mostly healthy. Despite the key players taking the court for the Nuggets tonight, Boston still enters as the 5.5-point favorites on the road as we make our Celtics vs. Nuggets player prop picks.

For the Nuggets, how will Nikola Jokic perform after one of his worst rebounding outings of the year? Also, can Michael Poter Jr. navigate the Celtics’ 3-point defense? And what should we expect from Jrue Holiday after he scored just two points in his last game?

The Celtics are the favorites in the NBA championship odds, while the Nuggets sit sixth. Their clash is part of a doubleheader from TNT on Tuesday, and we're examining the opening matchup in our Lakers vs. Mavericks NBA player prop picks.

This line feels like a massive overreaction to Holiday’s performance against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday.

He finished that game with just two points after going 1-of-6 shooting from the field. While the production was alarming, it was Holiday’s only game with fewer than 10 points in his last five, and he still managed six assists.

Holiday enters tonight’s contest averaging 12.0 points and 3.9 assists per matchup. While the Nuggets are a solid team, defense isn’t their strong suit. They rank seventh-worst in the NBA while allowing 117.2 points per game, and the team is giving up the most assists per contest.

All of our best sportsbooks are setting this total set at 14.5. Four of the five are favoring the Over, but bet365 is listing the same price for the Over and the Under. Don’t get caught up in one bad performance, and take Holiday to excel tonight.

Michael Porter Jr. prop pick: Under 2.5 made 3-pointers ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Best odds: +140 via bet365 | Implied probability: 41.67%

Porter leads the Nuggets with 2.7 3-pointers per game. He’s also been on fire lately, making at least three from deep in seven consecutive outings. He’s connected on four-plus threes in all three of his January games, and Porter has shot at least 44% in six straight outings.

And yet, the Under is the play on him tonight.

The Celtics boast the league's 10th-best 3-point defense, allowing opponents to make just 35.5% of their shots from beyond the arc. That's resulted in opponents making only 12.8 from distance per game. While Porter is red-hot right now, his current streak doesn't align with the forward's averages.

Take this Under ahead of a difficult matchup, especially when the Over is being favored so heavily, with +140 available for the Under.

Nikola Jokic prop pick: Over 11.5 rebounds ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Best odds: -120 via BetMGM | Implied probability: 54.55%

Jokic, who leads the NBA MVP odds, only recorded nine rebounds over 43 minutes in his last game, which may be why we’re getting this prop for such a good price tonight. Jokic is still averaging 13.0 rebounds per game this season, and he’s recorded at least 17 in three of his last four contests.

For as good as the Celtics have been this campaign, they’re shooting just 46.0% from the field. Jokic and the rest of the Nuggets will get plenty of opportunities for rebounds tonight with the Celtics giving up 52.7 boards per game.

The price for this prop ranges from -102 to -128, with all of our best sports betting apps favoring the Over. This number could go up to 12 before tipoff, so it wouldn’t be a bad idea to wait and potentially get Over 12 for +100 or better.
