Best 76ers vs. Celtics prop predictions

Tyrese Maxey prop pick: Over 22.5 points ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Best odds: -118 via Caesars | Implied probability: 54.13%

Maxey is enjoying another productive season as a scorer, averaging 25.4 points per game through 21 appearances in 2024-25. He’s hit the Over on this line in 14 of those 21 appearances (66.7%), which makes the -118 odds here a great value.

Though Joel Embiid is expected to play Wednesday, we’re not shying away from Maxey’s scoring line.

Maxey has played five games with Embiid this season and averaged 22 points. Maxey logged only 20 minutes in one of those games. But Maxey scored at least 23 points twice in the four games he played with a full workload.

Boston will surely be fired up in this one after letting a winnable game slip through its hands on Monday against Orlando. That means Maxey and Co. will need to be at their best to get the Sixers a victory.

Maxey has been a better scorer on the road (26.2 points per game) than at home (24.6). He’s registered at least 23 points in seven of 10 contests, and Maxey hit the Over in two of three matchups against Philly last season.

Derrick White prop pick: Over 4.5 assists ⭐⭐⭐⭐

White is the only Celtic I’m targeting in this one, as Tatum’s health is up in the air after he was a late scratch on Monday. There are several favorable lines set for White, but we can get his assists prop at juicy plus-money odds. 

The guard has hit the Over on this line in 13 of 28 games this season, and four have come over the last nine outings. White has averaged 5.6 assists at home compared to 3.6 on the road, giving him an advantage at TD Garden in this one.

Of his 13 games with five-plus assists, nine have come at home. White found success as a facilitator against the Sixers last season, dishing out at least five assists in all four matchups.

Paul George prop pick: Over 10.5 rebounds + assists ⭐⭐⭐

George has endured trouble staying on the court this season. But he’s appeared in seven straight games heading into the Christmas Day showdown with the Celtics.

With Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey expected to play, we’re looking at a combo prop for George that’s not focused on scoring.

PG has appeared in just 17 games this season, but he’s hit the Over on this line in nine. George has recorded double-digit rebounds twice this campaign, and he faces a great chance to crash the glass against a Celtics team ranked as a bottom-10 squad in rebounds allowed.

The veteran hit the Over on this line his last time out, notching 13 rebounds + assists during Monday’s win over the Spurs. He’s hit the mark in three of his last four outings, and we’re expecting another strong game for this marquee matchup.
