In a rematch of the Grey Cup from two years ago, the Toronto Argonauts will look to once again upset the Winnipeg Blue Bombers on Sunday at 6 p.m. ET (TSN/RDS, CFL+) from BC Place in Vancouver.

  • Our Argonauts vs. Blue Bombers player prop bet focuses on the player who will need to pick up the slack for Toronto with Chad Kelly out
  • As we highlighted in our Argonauts vs. Blue Bombers prediction, CFL Most Outstanding Player winner Brady Oliveira is the key to my Argonauts vs. Blue Bombers prediction
  • Winnipeg has been the Grey Cup odds favorite over the last couple of weeks after turning around its 2-6 start to the season

With Kelly out, who will step up for Toronto against the CFL's best defense?

Argonauts vs. Blue Bombers CFL player prop bets: Grey Cup

CFL picks made Friday via  odds and subject to change.

  • Ka'Deem Carey touchdown pick: Carey anytime touchdown scorer (-120 via Betway) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
  • Brady Oliveira Over 79.5 rushing yards (-118 via Betway) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
  • Nick Arbuckle Under 261.5 passing yards (-118 via Betway) ⭐⭐⭐

Argonauts vs. Blue Bombers touchdown pick

Ka'Deem Carey anytime touchdown scorer (-120) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

In an ideal world, I'd be betting Brady Oliveira to score a touchdown. But his odds are -250, despite the best running back in the CFL finding the end zone just four times over 17 regular-season games.

Instead, I'm targeting another top running back in Ka'Deem Carey.

Carey will need to carry the load for Toronto's offense with Kelly out, and Winnipeg was more susceptible on the ground this season while allowing the fourth-most rushing yards per game (104.2).

The tailback scored eight times during the regular season on his way to finishing third in the league in rushing yards (1,060). If he scores on the grandest stage against Winnipeg, a $10 bet results in an $8.34 profit.

Best Argonauts vs. Blue Bombers prop bets

Brady Oliveira Over 79.5 rushing yards (-118)

While Oliveira's anytime touchdown scorer odds are too short to justify, his rushing yards prop is the perfect bet to back for the Grey Cup.

The CFL's leading rusher with 1,353 yards during the regular season produced 119 yards in the West Division Finals last week against the Saskatchewan Roughriders. So he's gone Over 79.5 rushing yards nine times across his last 15 games.

Toronto is also giving up 89.5 rushing yards per game in the playoffs on 5.8 yards per carry. If Oliveira gets his season average of 14 carries per game, he should hit at least 80 rushing yards and turn a $10 bet into an $8.48 profit.

Best odds: -118 via Betway | Implied probability: 54.13%

Nick Arbuckle Under 261.5 passing yards (-118)

The weather could be a major factor if the roof at BC Place is open. But even if it's closed, Nick Arbuckle is going to endure a hard time eclipsing 261 passing yards against the Bombers.

The CFL journeyman has started 25 games in his career while throwing for over 261.5 yards 12 times. Winnipeg allowed the fewest passing yards per game this season (234.8) and the second-lowest QB rating in the league (90.7).

The Bombers have only permitted a QB to throw for more than 261.5 yards three times since beginning their 10-1 stretch, and all three instances were Saskatchewan QB Trevor Harris. If Winnipeg keeps another passer under this number, a $10 bet pays an $8.48 profit.

Best odds: -118 via Betway | Implied probability:  54.13%
