For the second straight game, the New York Mets look to stave off elimination when they face the Los Angeles Dodgers at Dodger Stadium in Game 6 of the NLCS. A win would join the Dodgers with the New York Yankees in the World Series odds.

The Mets are 17-4 in Manaea’s last 21 starts, with one of those wins coming in a dominating 7-3 Game 2 victory in what was a Dodgers bullpen game.

Manaea has experimented with new arm angles of late, and has found immediate success with it, as his second-half numbers indicate.

Manaea improved from a 4.29 xERA and 14% K-BB% in the first half of the season to a 3.75 xERA and 19.2% K-BB% in the second half.

Per , New York made history in Game 5, becoming the third team in the expansion era (since 1961) to not strike out once in a postseason game. It should come into Game 6 with plenty of confidence at the plate, especially since its last game in Los Angeles was one of its only games this series where it hit with runners in scoring position (4-for-12).

The Mets have to feel good that they are still playing baseball after being outscored 30-9 through the first four games of the series and issuing 31 walks, both records for a four-game postseason span.

My analysis

DraftKings has numerous combinations of players to hit a home run, and I would cash my $10 wager (netting $26 in profits) if either one of L.A.’s best right-handed bats go yard in this contest.

Mookie Betts and Teoscar Hernandez combined to go 0-for-7 with five strikeouts in Manaea’s Game 2 start. However, I am playing the percentages here, as the southpaw had a 2.83 xFIP against left-handed batters and a 4.35 xFIP against righties. 

Betts and Hernandez have combined for six of the team’s 18 home runs this postseason, making the 27.78% implied probability for either of them to go deep a great value.
