The world's best golfers are entering the week of a major all in their best form, and our PGA Championship power rankings aim to help differentiate the best of the best for Valhalla Golf Club based on the odds from our best golf betting sites.

Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy, and Brooks Koepka are the betting favorites by the PGA Championship odds, and each of them is coming off a victory in their last professional event.

Additionally, Scheffler won the 2024 Masters, Keopka is the defending PGA Champion from last year, and McIlroy won the PGA Championship the last time it was held at Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Ky., in 2014.

As such, it'll be more difficult than usual to choose among the favorites when making your PGA Championship picks, setting your PGA Championship pool picks, or creating your DFS golf lineups. So, our PGA Championship power rankings are here to help!

2024 PGA Championship power rankings

Odds as of Monday at 9:30 a.m. ET.

10. Sahith Theegala

Though he has just one career PGA Tour victory, is coming off a T-45 finish in the Masters, and tied for 40th in his debut at the PGA Championship last May, Theegala sneaks into the No. 10 spot to open our PGA Championship power rankings.

The California native is an elite putter and an exceptionally strong irons player.

9. Jon Rahm

Rahm's PGA Championship odds were hovering around +1000 as of December but they've been steadily rising since he departed for LIV Golf in January. He tied for 45th in his attempted defense of his Masters title, and he's been held without a win through his first seven events of the LIV season.

Bettors and poolies can benefit from the negative public perception. The two-time major winner is still one of the best in the world, and he's offered at a tremendous discount this week thanks to the superior play of other big names in this field.

Best odds:

8. Joaquin Niemann

After winning on the DP World Tour in Australia in November, Niemann won two of the first three LIV events of 2024. He finished in the top 10 of each of the last four events on the rebel circuit and even mixed in a T-22 result in the Masters after being extended a special invite.

He's been getting it done with strong iron play and plenty of driving distance. He'll need to rely on those same parts of the game amid the difficult conditions at Valhalla.

Best odds:

7. Bryson DeChambeau

DeChambeau held the opening-round lead in the Masters before going on to finish T-6. The former U.S. Open champ has a top finish of fourth on the LIV series this year but that shouldn't detract from his candidacy this week.

Always a long hitter, DeChambeau has also been exceptional with his irons, and he's proven himself as an excellent putter on major-caliber greens.

6. Xander Schauffele

It's getting increasingly difficult to back - or even suggest - Schauffele to win in a major, but his runner-up finish in the Wells Fargo Championship was his eighth top-10 result through 11 events this year.

Schauffele led last week's field in strokes gained: approach, and he was second in SG: tee-to-green behind only McIlroy. He just couldn't match the putting and short game of the eventual winner at Quail Hollow.

Schauffele remains as safe a pick as there is for a made cut and a quality finish for those wanting to play it safe.

5. Ludvig Aberg

Aberg debuted at the Masters in April with a runner-up finish behind Scheffler. He'll look to replicate that success in his first appearance in the PGA Championship.

A one-time winner on both the PGA Tour and the DP World Tour, is without a glaring weakness in his game, and we now know we can trust him amid the major pressures. His odds are still a little low for my liking as a debutant, but he could be a sneaky play in pools with bigger names around him in the favorites tier.

4. Wyndham Clark

I'm already backing Clark with my PGA Championship expert picks, but his lackluster finish in last week's Wells Fargo Championship makes him an even better recommendation here.

Take advantage of those frowning upon the 2023 U.S. Open winner, as he's still averaging 2.41 SG: total per round across his last 16 rounds despite last week's stumble.

Best odds:

3. Brooks Koepka

The defending PGA Champion, Koepka's odds hovered around +1600 to +2000 for most of the past year. They dropped precipitously with his victory in LIV Golf's Singapore event a couple of week's ago, as he re-established himself as a serious threat for his sixth major championship.

A modest T-45 finish in the Masters doesn't provide Koepka with the stat support of the other LIV stars in these power rankings, but we certainly don't need stats to back Brooks.

2. Rory McIlroy

McIlroy's PGA Championship odds were still offered as high as +1500 a week ago, and a lingering +1000 price was available Saturday. His run away victory in the Wells Fargo Championship took much of the value away, but he provided plenty of reason to believe he'll end his decade-long major drought with his return to Valhalla.

McIlroy averaged 1.06 strokes gained: putting last week, and that has long been the missing piece of his game in majors. He conquered these greens once before and he's again filled with confidence entering the week.

Best odds:

1. Scottie Scheffler

A T-2 finish in the Texas Children's Houston Open was Scheffler's worst result in his last five events. His four victories in that span include the Masters, The Players Championship, and two Signature Events in the Arnold Palmer Invitational and RBC Heritage.

There's no case to be made for not picking Scheffler in any way this week. Just know the odds are steep, with a 20% implied probability he will win again.
