Attrition mounting for the Sooners

Oklahoma’s first season in the SEC was a dud, with the Sooners dropping six of the final nine games on their schedule leading into bowl season.

Even with its full squad intact, Oklahoma was a mediocre 6-6 against the spread this season. Rampant opt-outs and injuries in the wide receiver room could create issues offensively for a unit already lacking consistency.

Michael Hawkins Jr. will quarterback the Sooners after Jackson Arnold transferred out. Oklahoma ranks 94th in adjusted offensive efficiency, which pales in comparison to Navy sitting 23rd.

Horvath has enjoyed recent success against a stout statistical run defense, ramming through Army for 204 rushing yards on 25 carries in the Army-Navy Game. The Black Knight's run defense ranked as one of the best in the country before Horvath’s outburst, so Oklahoma’s portal-impacted unit is far from infallible in this spot.
