Warren is the latest player to walk through the revolving door that is the starting quarterback role for the Michigan Wolverines this season. He'll get the nod in the ReliaQuest Bowl against Alabama in a rematch of last year's College Football Playoff Rose Bowl.

Warren's averaged an unimpressive 140.8 passing yards per game during eight appearances this year. He's cleared the 131-yard mark in half of those games, so where does the confidence he'll go Over against the Crimson Tide come from?

Alabama's pass defense has been relatively average this season, surrendering 195.8 yards per game. Seven of the last nine quarterbacks to play against the Crimson Tide have gone Over 130.5 passing yards. Kalen DeBoer's squad is listed as a two-touchdown favorite at our best sports betting sites, which means the game script should allow for the Wolverines to air the ball out when trailing.

Aaron Anderson anytime touchdown scorer ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Best odds: +125 via DraftKings | Implied probability: 44.44%

LSU will have to turn to the next man up with three of its top four receivers (Kyren Lacy, Mason Taylor, and CJ Daniels) opting out of the Texas Bowl. Anderson - who finished second on the team in yards and receiving touchdowns - will assume the role of the No. 1 wide receiver in the Texas Bowl against Baylor.

Anderson scored six total touchdowns this season, including three in the last five games. Nussmeier has eight multi-touchdown games under center for LSU, so Anderson will have plenty of chances to get on the receiving end of one against Baylor.

The Tigers have struggled to run the ball, and with a reshuffled offensive line missing two presumptive first-round picks, we imagine they'll turn to the air to find success.

The Bears allowed a respectable 16 passing touchdowns, but Nussmeier is the best quarterback they've seen to date. Anderson scored in six of his 12 games, so his +125 price at DraftKings - which carries a 44.44% implied probability - represents value in the Texas Bowl.

College football game predictions for Tuesday

Illinois +10.5 vs. South Carolina ⭐⭐⭐

Best odds: -115 via FanDuel | Implied probability: 53.49%

Two of the best teams against the spread will square off in the Citrus Bowl. Illinois and South Carolina combined to go 17-6-1 ATS this season, and they're both in search of their 10th win on New Year's Eve.

Our best sportsbooks list the Gamecocks as a double-digit favorite, but we believe the contest at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Fla., will be closer than that.

South Carolina registered six wins of 10-plus points this season, none of which came against opponents ranked in the latest . They now head into a game against the Fighting Illini's stubborn defense without standout running back Raheim "Rocket" Sanders, whose 1,197 total yards and 13 total touchdowns catapulted the Gamecocks' offense throughout the campaign.

Illinois simply knows how to keep games close. Bret Bielema's men were only involved in six games decided by more than one score, and they were on the winning end of four of those results. South Carolina is no Oregon or Penn State, so we like the Fighting Illini to keep this game closer than the 10.5-point spread at FanDuel suggests.

Penn State -11 vs. Boise State ⭐⭐⭐⭐

As we wrote about in our Penn State vs. Boise State prediction, the Nittany Lions present a matchup nightmare for Boise State.

They rank No. 4 in total defense and No. 7 in rush defense, making them the perfect candidates to slow down Heisman Trophy runner-up Ashton Jeanty. James Franklin's squad also has an uber-talented pass rush led by top 2025 NFL Draft odds prospect Abdul Carter and other NFL talent up front.

Further, Penn State's two-headed rushing attack of Kaytron Allen and Nick Singleton can eat up the clock and ensure Jeanty spends extended periods on the sideline. QB Maddux Madsen and the Broncos' passing attack haven't had to play from behind often.

This could cause issues against a Nittany Lions defense playing its best football of the season - just ask Kevin Jennings and SMU.

Penn State is at least an 11-point favorite with all of the best sports betting apps, but it's DraftKings that offers the most favorable odds (-108). A $10 winning wager at this price returns $9.26 in profit.
