The Alamo Bowl is one of the most interesting non-College Football Playoff bracket games that the 2024 bowl slate has to offer. The BYU Cougars and Colorado Buffaloes square off in a rare postseason meeting between two teams from the same conference.

Travis Hunter's growth from last season to this season needs no introduction. The Heisman Trophy odds winner's laundry list of awards speaks for itself, but one of the more underrated feats of his stellar campaign was his touchdown-scoring ability.

Hunter racked up a career-high 14 touchdowns as a wide receiver. This run featured five multi-score games, including two-plus touchdowns in each of his final two regular-season appearances. Shedeur Sanders and Hunter will play their final collegiate games in the Alamo Bowl, so expect the duo to put on a show.

The future first-round pick has +230 odds at DraftKings to find the end zone twice. This is a surprisingly great value from our best sportsbooks considering he's cashed this prop at a 41.67% clip throughout the campaign.

Sanders was Colorado's worst statistical rusher this season with 91 carries for -16 yards. Don't let the numbers fool you, though, as the NCAA counts sacks against quarterbacks and their rushing totals.

Sanders has cleared this prop in six of 12 games, and he tallied long runs of six-plus yards in 75% of appearances for the Buffaloes this season. BYU ranks 18th in total defense, which may scare some bettors off this play, but the Cougars are vulnerable on the ground (46th-rated rush defense).

BYU has struggled to get opposing quarterbacks down this season, though. The Cougars are tied for the 10th-worst sack total in the country with just 16 across 12 games. This means all Sanders needs to do is scramble for six or more yards once and he has a great chance of cashing the Over on his rushing total.

LJ Martin Over 76.5 rushing yards ⭐⭐⭐⭐

LJ Martin got out to a slow start this season as he failed to clear 70 yards in each of his first three games. His performances picked up following his return from an ankle injury, though. He's since reached the 76-yard mark in four of his last six outings.

The El Paso native gets a favorable draw in his return to his home state of Texas. Colorado's rush defense is the epitome of average as it ranks middle-of-the-pack in the FBS. The Buffaloes allow opposing backs to run for 149 yards per game, something BYU will look to exploit while keeping Sanders' offense on the sideline.

As long as Martin tallies double-digit carries - which he's done in seven of nine games this year - he should surpass this total with relative ease.

Some of the best college football betting sites list Martin's total around 80.5 yards. Caesars and bet365 are the only two sportsbooks with a 76.5-yard rushing prop for the sophomore, with the former offering marginally better odds.
