The Alabama Crimson Tide will battle the Michigan Wolverines in a rematch of last year's College Football Playoff Rose Bowl semifinal at the 2024 ReliaQuest Bowl. The Crimson Tide are favored by 13.5 points at our best college football betting sites.

The Crimson Tide haven’t played their best football down the stretch, and yet, they’re still 14 points better than this Wolverines team. When you add in all of the opt-outs that the Wolverines are dealing with on the offensive line and defensive side of the ball, it becomes clear that Alabama could win this in blowout fashion.

The Wolverines have failed to score 20 points in three of their last four games, and that was with both Kalel Mullings and Donovan Edwards. Both running backs have opted out of this game, leaving Benjamin Hall as the team’s leading rusher. He has 44 yards this season.

The Crimson Tide are dealing with plenty of defensive opt-outs, but the offense is mostly intact. Even if the defense is worse than it was during the regular season, how is a team that averaged just 22.3 points per game this season going to do any damage without its best weapons? We like Alabama to cover as 13.5-point favorites at our best sportsbooks.

Michigan Team Total Under 14.5 (-136) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

This pick should come as no surprise after everything else we previously mentioned. The Wolverines scored fewer than 20 points in six games this season, and they were held to 14 or fewer three times.

Offensively, Michigan finished the year with just 1,603 passing yards. While starting quarterback Davis Warren will be under center on Tuesday, he hasn’t done enough this season to prove he can carry an offense. Plus, the Crimson Tide allowed fewer than 200 passing yards per game this season.

The Wolverines ran for 18 touchdowns this season while throwing just 11. They also finished the year with 325 more rushing yards than passing yards. This offense isn’t going to look like it did this season without its running backs. Michigan is in serious danger of not scoring a single touchdown.

Jalen Milroe 2+ touchdowns (+240) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

After picking two favorites, it’s time to take a longer shot to pump up the parlay numbers at FanDuel. Milroe has been dominant when it comes to scoring touchdowns this season. He finished the year with 20 rushing touchdowns, including three in the regular-season finale against the Auburn Tigers.

Milroe scored multiple touchdowns in seven games overall. While the Wolverines allowed just 20.5 points per game, they’ll be without at least nine defensive players, including Mason Graham. The Crimson Tide will score in this game, and though Milroe will have most of his top receivers, he’s been more efficient at finding the end zone on the ground.
