For our best sports betting sites, the upcoming boxing match between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul will hold true to neither of their monikers.

This bout will not be viewed as a "problem child" like Paul; it's viewed as an exceptional event in the sports betting calendar. It also won't be "Iron" like Mike because they're almost certainly only seeing gold.

(Earlier this year it was reported that the people of Puerto Rico had nicknamed him "El Gallo De Dorado" which he had adopted, but I don't have any clever way to tie "the rooster" into this, so I'm sticking with "problem child.")

And while the event is still a few days away, we're already heard from a sportsbook that it expects this to be the most-bet boxing match in its history. It could be that for many of our best boxing betting sites.

But those of you still waiting to get into the action, fear not: we have you covered. Sportsbook Review has long been covering the Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul odds in the leadup to the fight, and our Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul expert picks will have you all set for the opening bell.

Historical handle?

It should come as no surprise that this fight is drawing such attention, given the status of both combatants.

John Ewing of BetMGM forwarded a statement from senior trader Alex Rella, who predicted the fight would be the "most bet on boxing match in BetMGM history."

He went on to say that (not entirely surprisingly) "bettors want to see Paul get knocked out" and that, in turn, they "love Tyson as an underdog."

What that spells is that, for the books, a Paul victory would be best. If you want to get in on one side or the other, make sure to dive into BetMGM promo codes before doing so.

Caesars has also released statements that it would benefit from a Paul victory. The sportsbook , with lead combat sports oddsmaker Brandon Yaeger saying, “I anticipate Mike Tyson will make this fight competitive for the first four rounds where his power will be a factor.“

"After that, I think he will be too gassed, and his age will start to show on the back half of the fight," Yaeger added.

Given Caesars was reporting just 9% of tickets and 23% of handle on Paul, that would certainly play into the sportsbook's hands.

Paul's future plans

The 27-year-old Paul has already tackled being a social media influencer, YouTuber, actor, sportsbook owner, and boxer. And as you can imagine, the desire to continue to conquer things doesn't end there for someone with that type of resume. (For those wondering, that sportsbook is Betr, which offers a Betr picks promo code)

But is there some fatigue setting in from the general public from seeing Paul?

Well, at his suggestion that he could make a go of it in the NFL, we surveyed 25,000 fans about his desire to join professional football.

An astounding 70% responded that they'd prefer he doesn't give it a shot. That number grows to nearly 75% on the "negative" side when questioned if his joining the league would be a positive or negative development. Needless to say, there were many opinions on many Paul-based questions.
