The parent company of FanDuel—one of our best sports betting sites—has made some changes at the executive level. And the new face comes from a rival.

Shaun Brassington has via LinkedIn that he will join Flutter International in Dublin, Ireland, as its Senior Director of Studios. Brassington joins the company from bet365, where he has served in various roles over the past seventeen years.

“After 17 amazing years at bet365, I’m thrilled to announce that I’ve started a new role as Senior Director of Studios at Flutter International,” the post reads. “bet365 has been an incredible place to grow, and I’m so grateful for the experiences and friendships I’ve gained there. Now, I’m excited to take on this new challenge and contribute to the vision at Flutter.”

17 years of experience

Shaun joined bet365 in 2007 as its Gaming Customer Services Team Leader following his graduation from the University of Staffordshire. He served in seven more positions during his tenure with the company. His most recent title, Head of Game Development, was the longest of these, which he held for almost 4 years after being appointed in March 2021. In this role, Shaun’s responsibilities included product lifecycle management, team leadership, and continuous improvement.

His other roles at bet365 included Software Product Development Manager, Games Operations Manager, Games Retention Manager, and Casino, Games, and Vegas Manager.

Flutter performing well

The update comes just weeks after Flutter Entertainment recorded its highest-ever New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) closing price of $267 per share. The company moved its primary listing to the NYSE earlier this year, with its secondary listing being with the London Stock Exchange. Flutter CEO Peter Jackson explained "We have a fantastic position in the U.S., with FanDuel the clear No. 1 operator, and we look forward to this next step on our journey.”

Flutter Entertainment also recently reported a surge in sports betting amid the rising popularity of women’s sports. Data from FanDuel revealed that the WNBA reported its highest attendance in 26 years during the first month of the 2024 season.

FanDuel's growth certainly is in part because new users don't even need a FanDuel promo code to take advantage of excellent offers.

Founded in 2016, Flutter Entertainment is the global sports betting and gambling company behind leading brands, including FanDuel, Betfair, Paddy Power, PokerStars, Sportsbet, and Sky Betting & Gaming. The company’s influence was highlighted earlier in 2024 as it landed on TIME Magazine’s list of the 100 Most Influential Companies of the year.

“Our ambition is to transform global gaming and betting, to deliver long-term growth and a positive, sustainable future for our sector,” reads the .
