Growth has been impressive
Flutter Entertainment is fresh off a first-quarter earnings report that impressed industry insiders and those at TIME who named the Top 100 Influential Companies worldwide.
The company saw a year-over-year increase in revenue for the full-year 2023 reporting period to $11.8 billion.
The first quarter of 2024 saw a 16% year-over-year revenue spike compared to last year's three-month period. Flutter reported $3.4 billion in revenue for the reporting period.
Active monthly global players reached an average of 12.3 million in Q1, with projections that the number could go higher during the second quarter of this year. According to the TIME press release, the company had 13.7 million monthly players registered as of March 31.
American market has been key
FanDuel has been able to establish and maintain its position as the #1 sportsbook on American soil. Not only does it consistently lead the way in terms of handle and revenues in the exploding U.S. market, but it holds key partnerships with all of North America's major sports leagues. That includes the NBA, NHL, NFL, and MLB and a few of those sports' most iconic teams.

Furthering its commitment to problem gambling in the American market, Flutter Entertainment has made news as one of the key members of a Responsible Online Gaming Association, which aims to cut back on addiction and cheating in relation to the industry and attempts to help with self-governing among gambling providers.
