BetMGM Strikes Bullpen Sponsorship Deal for MLB Postseason

One of our best sports betting sites is going to be very visible during the MLB playoffs. 

Major League Baseball's postseason began on Tuesday with the first games of the wild-card round. And BetMGM was a prominent sponsor, with its logo plastered across bullpens around the league. And bettors who have used BetMGM bonus codes (and those who haven't!) should hope that balls land just behind that logo, as the company is offering a $50,000 promotion called the "Bullpen Jackpot."

An expanded betting slate is also expected throughout the playoffs, with head-to-head player matchups and series home run leaders. 

BetMGM and MLB 

BetMGM and MLB share a long history of doing business together. 

BetMGM became the league's first official betting partner in 2018. The company stepped things up in 2022, negotiating a deal to allow the sportsbook to market across MLB.com, the MLB Network, and MLB apps. 

It also holds sponsorship deals with four MLB teams, as it's linked up with the Boston Red Sox, Detroit Tigers, Los Angeles Dodgers, and Washington Nationals.

Home run betting has emerged as a fun bet, but the Bullpen Jackpot takes it a step further. 

The $50,000 promo stipulates that you can win when a player hits a home run into a bullpen. All those who have placed a qualifying wager on that player to hit a home run on that day will win a share of the prize pool, which BetMGM will award in bonus bets. 

“Sponsoring the bullpen is an incredible opportunity for BetMGM to expand our brand by being front and center during key playoff action,” commented Matt Prevost, BetMGM's chief revenue officer.

Unfortunately, the promo is not available to residents in the Nevada sports betting or Puerto Rico sports betting markets. 

BetMGM ran a different home run promotion during the regular season. The Grand Slam Jackpot paid $1.85 million in bonus bets across its platforms. The sportsbook is available in most states (and the District of Columbia) where sports betting is legal nationwide and in the Ontario sports betting market.

It hasn't exactly been a slow year for the company. 

BetMGM has inked numerous sponsorship deals recently, signing on as The Associated Press' odds provider in May and continuing its partnership with Newcastle United of the Premier League in July. 

It was also among the first sports betting operators to jump into the Responsible Gaming Education Month fray, launching responsible gambling messages in several NFL stadiums leaguewide throughout September.

A particular focus will be paid to GameSense, a responsible gaming program licensed to MGM Resorts in 2017. The program focuses on "positive, transparent, and proactive engagements with guests and customers about how to gamble responsibly," the company said in a release. The British Columbia Lottery Corporation developed the program, which offers ProLine sports betting in a province with a legal BC sports betting scene.

All these things lead to BetMGM being one of our best sports betting apps and one of the best real-money online casinos.

But it's not just one of the best in our eyes. It captured two awards at the , winning Sports Betting Operator of the Year and Employer of the Year.
