One of our best sports betting sites, Bally Bet Sportsbook, had an exciting announcement for the residents of the Old Line State: it's officially live in Maryland.
The up-and-coming sportsbook obtained a mobile sports wagering license from the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Commission (MLGCC) to add to Maryland sports betting options.
In preparation for the launch, Bally's ran a demonstration that included select customers participating in its live in-game betting markets to ensure it met compliance requirements while proving to be among the best sports betting apps.
Why Maryland?
Part of the reason Bally's Interactive was eager to launch its sportsbook in Maryland was that the state is a market leader in supplier diversity and strategic minority investing opportunities.
"We are excited to launch the Bally Bet Sportsbook app in Maryland," said Brett Calapp, Chief Operating Officer of Bally's North America Interactive. "Our partnership with UJIMA underscores our commitment to reflecting Maryland's dedication to diversity and inclusion."
Bally's Interactive plans to work closely with its minority partner UJIMA to ensure that the operations reflect the state's commitment to diversity and inclusion.
"We are thrilled that the launch is finally here after years of dedicated effort," said UJIMA Sportsbook owner Malik Edwards, "We are confident that players will discover Bally Bet provides an unparalleled user experience, and we eagerly anticipate their feedback."
Soon it will join a growing list of Maryland sportsbook promos.
Bally Bet Sportsbook grows
With the addition of Maryland, Bally Bet Sportsbook is now available in nine states, including the Arizona sports betting, Colorado sports betting, Indiana sports betting, New York sports betting, Iowa sports betting, Ohio sports betting, Virginia sports betting, and, most recently, Massachusetts sports betting scenes.
Bally's also announced recently that it had secured funding for its Chicago casino and hotel project in Chicago's Rive West neighbourhood on top of announcing its plans to merge with Standard General's affiliate Queen Casino & Entertainment Inc. - it owns four casino properties.
After announcing the merger, Bally's shares rose 25% with the deal expected to close in early 2025.
