Scott Barrett (New Zealand) will appear before an independent Judicial Committee on Monday, 28 August having received a red card in New Zealand’s Rugby World Cup warm up match against South Africa on 25 August 2023.
The red card was as a result of two yellow cards issued for offences contrary to Law 9.8 (repeated team infringements) and 9.20(a) (charging into a ruck or maul).
The independent Judicial Committee will be chaired by Sir James Dingemans (England), joined by former international Olly Kohn (Wales) and former referee Val Toma (Romania).
